Those dang French, setting us up for judgment. You should see all the idols all over Paris (perhaps you have). They placed a really bad satanic figure next to the Hoover Dam recently too. I can't even look it at when I go there.

Oh btw, how does preterism interpet the 200 MILLION man army coming in IN the book of Revelation? Im very interested, since no one has had an army that big afaik
I can't answer for all of them but some think it was a translation error and that it was really only 20,000 men. This was the number of the Syrian forces from the north who came down to aid Titus. They believe "mankind" refers to the remaining Jews inside the city which hadn't succumbed to starvation or sickness or the sword from their internal civil war. We know 98,000 were left alive after Titus was done with them and the math would mean he killed about 49,000 if this interpretation is true. 49,000 would be about right from what Josephus records, give or take 10,000.

I still looking at this issue to be honest.

I know. There are areas where we agree completely.

What do you think of this character? He's surrounded by the constellations and zodiac signs stamped in the cement on the ground all around him. He's supposed to be a tribute to those who died building the dam. What a joke.

For that blessed hope to apply to us, then they couldn't apply to them (Titus). How much hope would you have if I tell you that I'm coming over to take you to the ball game and I don't show up for 2,000 years?

It applies to every generation until it takes place. Every generation should be watching and longing for the Lord's appearing to gather the church. Those who were doing so throughout every generation will be rewarded for their faith for being ready and watching. All of those who have died in Christ, when the resurrection takes place, they will receive their resurrected bodies. And those who are watching and alive when the resurrection takes place will be changed and caught up to meet the Lord in the air.

The blessed hope applies to everyone right up until it happens.

Where are they now while they are waiting for those resurrected bodies?

Does their rotten decaying flesh transform or do they get brand new bodies with no molecules left from their earthly corpses?

Ah yes, this is typical of false doctrines, "must be translation error since the story doesn't match the apocalypse of Josephus."

Their body is 'asleep' in Christ until the resurrection takes place 1 Thess 4:16-17

Hello Issachar92,

I would submit for your consideration, that the army of 200 million are not men, but a demonic army.

Regarding those four angels who are currently bound in the area of the Euphrates River, they have been bound there to be released for a specific hour, day, month and year, to kill a third of mankind. Not angels getting men to kill men, but angels killing men. I believe that their army of 200 million is demonic.

In support of this, consider how a third of mankind will be killed, which is by fire, smoke and sulfur coming from the mouths of these horses. When we are talking about the things of nature, we are on the same page as John, for John knows what a horse looks like. He refers to them in this way "The horses I saw looked like this." It isn't until he describes the heads, which look like lions heads, that they differ. Therefore, for all intents and purposes, these beings will look like horses prepared for battle, until you get to the head which will look like lions heads and they will kill a third of mankind via the fire, smoke and sulfur that proceeds from their mouths. What human army has horses that can do that?

Something else to consider in favor of this is that, if John was seeing some futuristic vehicle with wheels and weaponry, to describe it he would most likely call it a chariot or a carriage, which he uses in Rev.18:13. My point is that, he certainly wouldn't call them horses. He doesn't even say that they look "like horses," but plainly calls them horses.

In further support of this, Trumpets 5,6 and 7 are referred to as being "woes." And I believe the reason for this is that these three trumpets are demonic in nature.

That's just my two cents worth.

But how come Jesus hasn't returned yet? Jesus said Immediately after those days of tribulation..

So whats going on? Are you amillennial? If you are, you would be the first KJV-only guy that i've met who is amillennial.
I'm not ameliennial, I believe Jesus will return to rule and reign a thousnad years. I just believe the great tribulation happened in AD 70.

As for the verses below, I don't know for sure. Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun is darkened etc and then after that, the sign of the Son of man and him coming in the clouds... is this immediately after the tribulation or is it later, I don't know.

Matthew 24:29-30 KJV
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
[30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory..

Has anyone here ever done a study on the times "Riding on the clouds", or "Coming on the clouds", or themes along those same lines were referenced in the Bible.......... AND what they actually meant when they were?

According to Phil. 1:23 and 2 Cor.5:6, when a believer dies their spirit/soul departs from the body and goes to be in the presence of the Lord. All those who have died since the beginning of the church have been in the presence of the Lord. When it is time for the Lord to appear and gather the church, he will bring with him those spirits/souls who have died in Him and they will be reunited with their now resurrected bodies. A Nano second later, the living in Christ will be changed into their immortal and glorified bodies with the entire church meeting Christ in the air and being taken back to the Father's house.

Does their rotten decaying flesh transform or do they get brand new bodies with no molecules left from their earthly corpses?

God created the human body and is able to regenerate their bodies from the dust of the earth into those immortal and glorified bodies.

Read Joel 2, I believe that is the supernatural army that invaded Israel in 70 AD.

Joel 2 is in reference to the 5th trumpet, not the 6th. The 5th being where those demons that look like locusts that are released from the Abyss to torment the inhabitants of the earth with stings like that of a scorpion.

The 6th trumpet is when those angels who are bound at the Euphrates River are released and gather their demonic army of 200 million to kill a third of mankind via fire, smoke and sulfur which issues from their mouths.

I've read Joel multiple times and I haven't seen anything that points to the end of history. What makes you think it's not AD 70?

I also found this: The phrase "coming on clouds of heaven," would have triggered in the first century Jewish listener the Old Testament "cloud-comings" of God in judgment upon ancient historical people and nations (see Ps. 18:7-15; 104:3; Isa. 19:1; Joel 2:1-2; Zeph. 1:4,15).

Hello Wilie-T,

The context should always be considered first. For example, in Matt.24:30-31, Jesus is described arriving on the clouds of the sky. That in conjunction with that fact that the other words in the context state that "all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see him" would support the fact that He will be physically and visually arriving on the clouds of the sky and that on a white horse according to Rev.19:11-21.

The entire earth is going to see Christ's return to the earth to end age, including those who are in Sheol/Hades.

Remember, we are talking about God here. Nothing is impossible with Him.
