behold!
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me. Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.
And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee. And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.
Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.

(Zechariah 2:8-13)

what is this???

it is Yahweh who has spoken, Yahweh who has sent, and Yahweh who was sent! it is Yahweh who made His dwelling place among men!
Who is this Who sends Himself, so that you should know that He is sent by Himself? Who is this that pitched His tent with ours?

No answer from you the first time.

Is Jesus your Father or is God your Father? I was wondering which one is your Father?
Please see #91 - I quoted Lk 11 - first few verses JESUS mentions ''our Father who is in heaven.....
I thought that would tell you. But I have since read some of your posts and I believe that we agree ''God is our Father !

you say then that there is another Lord above the Lord of lords?

a name above the name above all names?

:confused::p

Hi Posthuman,

I think what FGT is saying is that there's a relational subordination within the Godhead.

It is called the chain of Command.
That is what I also believe ! It is clear from scripture that there is ORDER from the top down and Jesus Christ is certainly listed as having HIS own position and can indeed 'interact with His Father also when called to do so....even NOW Jesus has all authority given Him of His Father....does not mean that Jesus is the Father Himself. When His job here is done He will hand all back to His Father and also submit Himself 1Cor 15v25-28.
Why do some people find this so hard to understand ?

They want to believe they understand some mystery of God.. Really, they're just reading too much into it.

Hi Posthuman,

hi DR!
yes, i think maybe he's saying that too

but Who is King over all kings?

For Jehovah Most High is fearful, A great king over all the earth.
(Psalm 47:2)

Jehovah in the heavens Hath established His throne, And His kingdom over all hath ruled.
(Psalm 103:19)

God reigns over the nations; God is seated on His holy throne.
(Psalm 47:8)

F
or the kingdom is Jehovah's; And he is the ruler over the nations.
(Psalm 22:8)

Jehovah is King above all kings?

but look!

the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
(Revelation 17:14)

the Lamb is the King of kings and Lord of lords!

how many King of kings can their be?
if one King is above another, that king is the king of the other king - so how can there be more than one?
impossible!
that's what i'm saying: there is only one Lord of all

And Jehovah shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Jehovah, and his name one.
(Zechariah 14:9)

One - as His name is One, and there is One name above all other names

JESUS OF NAZARETH

Fear no more, Daughter Zion; look! your King is coming, sitting on a donkey's colt.
(John 12:15, Zechariah 9:9)

Why was Jesus accused of saying He was God?

Do you have a scripture where Jesus claims to be GOD Himself ? I know there is Joh 10v36 where Jesus says He is the 'Son of God' !
It would help if you have scripture....otherwise I would not put too much faith into what other people claimed about Him.

If we meet, and I don't tell you what I do for a living, but someone else does, does that mean they are lying

there is already plenty of scripture in this thread, me re-stating it will do nothing

Hi Posthuman,

Didn't Jesus say 'His Father was greater than Him ? or 'that His Father told Him what to say and do ? of Himself He could do nothing.

You must think very highly of Jesus' accusers - that they always spoke the truth.
My question to you was sincere - scripture would help !

No, it is not. So therefore one of us is wrong and one of us is right.

I say I am right and you are wrong.

Ok, but first answer this?
Can anyone else than God create?

Jesus says ' He does the works of His Father...so I suppose 'creating would come into it ?!
but we do the works of Jesus, and we cannot create can we? Even though the told his disciples they would do GREATER things than He had.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1;1

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[SUP]a[/SUP] it.

(stuff about John)

9The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

IF we are doing the works of Jesus we would be 'creating/producing something...even if not physically seen. We would be OBEDIENT for a start....but christians have not gone that far yet....they only use HIS name and then go their own way....not much being created there.
