Is Islam Evil?

I wanna know what you guys think about this subject. Some Muslims said it is written in the Quran that they should slaughter those who mock their religion. They also don't treat women as they're equal! I mean i could go on and say every bad thing that I notice from their religion tho I couldn't really jump in to conclusion since i don't know the whole story behind it! So I'm asking you guys, do you think Islam is evil?


oh ya! they also claim that Allah is the god of the old testament and that the new testament is corrupted yet that contradicts the bible since God said that he would preserve his word! what do you guys think about this one?

Islam is a religion, its the people who makes it evil. No point going through what they wrote in the Al Quran coz the one and true way is through Christ, our Lord.

Islam is evil from the start because it is a false religion. As such it teaches erroneous ideas as to the nature of God and of man. It promotes immoral actions.

It uses immoral ideas to promote support.... suicide bombers being promised a host of virgins in eternity, etc.

Anything that goes against/varies from God's word is evil. So that includes the Islamic beliefs in my opinion.

If people do evil things in the name of a religion that doesn't make the religion evil. It means that people do evil things. Suicide bombers proclaiming the name of Allah don't make Islam any more evil than the Crusaders made Christianity evil. Why don't we stop blaming God, religion, faith and take responsibility for our actions?

Islam is not evil by virtue of the fact that fanatics have hijacked it for their own evil agendas. The same could be said of Christianity. Now, I have not studied the Koran so I can't quote you sura and verse of what it says. But I have met several Muslims who have studied the Koran and they are all lovely people. They decry those who have used Islam as an excuse to murder others. That is not the message of Islam.

Just because Islam goes against the doctrines of Christianity: Jesus is Messiah, Jesus is God, does not make it evil. Christians say Muslims follow a false prophet. Muslims say the same about Christians. Christians claim to have the only way to heaven. Muslims make the same claim. Because the two cannot agree, one must necessarily be evil?

I don't know about making others jealous for Christianity, but calling every other religion out there evil and saying that their followers are followers of the devil is not the way to do it. You're more likely to push people away than draw them in. What's so attractive about Christianity if it promotes hatred of other people and beliefs? Is that how disciples are to be made of all nations? Tell them their religion is evil and they're followers of the devil and salvation is found in no one else but Jesus? Good luck with that.

There are very different levels of Islam followers. A lot of Muslims aren't the "suicide bombers, kill all who don't believe" type, most are like you and me trying to live this life the best they can and make it.

But personally I find Islam evil due to what it does to their followers. In Islamic countries women are treated like TRASH, and that isn't speculation or bias, that is fact. I shutter to read reports from Africa and the Middle East where women are mutilated and punished for no other crime than just being born female. Islam is the scapegoat for a lot of atrocious behavior because it does have a lot of anti-women "scriptures" in their religious text.

iam a Muslum girl . all i can say to u ,read Qur'an and decide for youself . what Islam about.
by the way our greeting in Islam is Assalum Alykum = peace be upon u all .
one more thing, i do believe that Islam and true Muslims in the safe side always bcz we belive in all books ,prophets and messangers that preceeds Islam
unlike other religions .We love Moses ,Juses and Mohammad and we don't differnciate between them . i respect others' religions & beliefs
May God = Allah guide us all his right path

God shows favor to those who show good judgment.

Muslims do not believe Jesus is God, they believe he was a good prophet and a good man, but not God. The rejection of Jesus Christ as Lord is not acceptable, so perhaps "evil" is a good way to explain Islam because ultimately it destroys the soul.

this is soooo annoying rude and disrespecfull leave islam alone talking about islam or others in bad way or calling them (evil )doesnt really make u look butter leave islam alone
would u like it if some one said jesus is evil??
then respect others if u want others to respect u and graw up

Annoying? Rude? Disrespectful? Honey, unless you didn't realize the link you clicked onto this is ChristianChat.com. We are Christians, not Muslims. (Or at least most of us are I'm assuming.) Islam is not my religion, nor do I believe in it, nor do I endorse it or feel like it's the truth. That's not immaturity, that's my beliefs.

I'm not going to defend a religion that isn't mine. If you're not a Christian I don't automatically believe you're evil, but you open yourself up to a lot of influences that aren't of God because you're not His. This is basic Christianity.

Islam is evil through and through. The Quran is not inspired. Mohammed was not a prophet of God.

It advocates murder, and other immoralities.

There are some who deny Jesus ever existed, in spite of the evidence. There are those who deny that He is the Son of God. But only an idiot would ever suggest that Jesus was some how evil. There is too much evidence to attest to his superior ethics and morality.

Mohammed on the other hand... wow...

Speaking the truth sometimes offends. Jesus called the Pharisees hypocrites and white washed sepulchres. He told the Sadducees that they were in error not knowing the Scriptures or the power of God.

As someone stated, people "make up" the religion just as people make up nations.

We can't see something we don't have a full concept of, and then generalize it wholly as evil, when infact, only a few people of that said religion, give it a bad name.

You know, I'm sure a lot of people think Christianity is evil too.

If they were to base their assumptions of Christianity on individuals (which a lot of people do), I highly doubt there would be a growing number of true Christians.

It is the people in the religion who make it evil. Religion is an object. It can not be inherently evil or good. Those are qualities reserved for mankind and the actions of mankind.

Let's juxtapose the question to Christianity. Is Christianity evil? Women were not treated as equals until the Industrial Revolution. The Irish Republican Army bombed English buses and killed English hostages in order to defend Catholicism and the Irish state. The Protestants and Catholics brutally murdered the Anabaptists. I would say that it is the people who do those things in the name of religion is evil. There are evil Christians but Christianity is not evil. There are evil Muslims but Islam is not evil.
