no one has denied it and I did not say they did

what I said was that trofimus here cannot explain his part in Christ being his head but he is happy to share that men are the head of their wives

I agree that a man is the head of his wife but a man that actually has Christ as his head, will not have to FORCE his wife

many Christian men USE that scripture to lay down the law and it is a law that places them BEFORE the Lord in the life of their wives

Christ is the head of us all is what that scripture actually states

however, that looks better on paper then in practice for way too many marriages

If he were in my church talking to married people, I would have issues with him doing so. Just because he is a man, does not make him an expert in marriage.

Here is more proof an elder is the same as pastor:

So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. 1 Peter 5:1ff.

about as long as the man does not allow the woman to be who she is IN Christ which is a whole lot more than an appendage of whoever she married

come back after you get married and tell us how it went

as you have 0 experience, all you can do is quote scripture

but I understand the mentality of such things. thankfully God is not so inclined or He would not have said we are equal in Christ

Hmmm, let's just say the man in question recognizes the gifts of the woman in question and gives her authority with no prompting from the woman. So, what say you? Has usurping happened?

Who said any anything about force? Geez. I'm sure plenty abuse it, but who here has even hinted at that? People seem to be offended that the verse is even in the bible to begin with. It presents an authoritative order. God, Jesus, man, woman.

people are not offended

'people', mostly women, are up to here with men USING God for their behavior

if that is not you, then don't bite the hook

some people know perfectly well what I am talking about

there is not offense; there is a challenge to be honest and to be honest with oneself

No one's ever suggested such a thing so the statement above is dishonest.

You simply make things up and this is why people don't want to engage your posts because they are based in dishonest comments, and of course, straw man arguments.
 
my husband just said, when I asked him, when he would like supper, 'now'

so I will go and get the man supper because this is a marriage and I want to please and honor my husband but I would not want to if he demanded I get supper because I am female

some get that and some do not

Likewise not one of you have proved that only a man can be a pastor. Let me be real clear, where is the actual word PASTOR used at anywhere besides Ephesians 4 and how does this prove that only men can be pastors, or for that matter that men can only be 5 fold gifts to the body?
 
If a woman had a choice between Following God and her conscience and following an unbelieving husband's orders....who should she follow?

For example she sees an orphan child in need of food and shelter
