Well, when a person goes into convulsions because of walking into a home where a cat/cats live, it's also kinda annoying to have wall to wall cats......... 
But I understand how some folks really love them, so I don't mind. I can't even be around a person who owns a cat, because I will find my sinuses closing tight, throat contracting, and breathing almost impossible......but, I love those folks anyway, and just try not to sit too close to them.
Anyway.............if everyone wants to give the "cats" thingy a break, it's fine with me............but, shoot, dogs get eaten also, as do chickens, cows, horses, turtles, frogs, deer.........I mean BAMBI for goodness sakes?.............and other creatures as well..... Should we really elevate cats to a level where they are absolved of humor?
But, I do not want to upset folks, so, as usual I will agree to your comment..........and suffer the constant wall to wall cat threads................such is the way of things I suppose.

Well, here's a suggestion: if you're that allergic to someone's cats, then don't go to their home. Simple as that. As for other animals getting eaten, well, that's true, but you never joke about other animals getting turned into chinese food. You do it primarily with cats, both on this thread and several others. And there are NOT "wall to wall" cat threads on here. Not even on THIS thread. If the cat pictures bother you so much, simply scroll past them. Thank goodness you can't get allergies from looking at cat pictures..lol

If it is a real issue with you, you could try putting him in a cat carrier overnight, or putting a leash on him and tying him someplace.
Here's a suggestion. Why not start a Thread.........Cats, Cats, Nothing but Cats........and post away?

As for not visiting folks who have cats........that is not always an option.........especially if some are family, and/or Church family.........
As for making fun of other animals, not true.........I have more than once made fun of dogs, frogs, horses, cows, fish, and even elephants. Lately? No. Mainly because there seems to be an infatuation with cats, cats, nothing but cats.
As for scrolling past.........that quite often entails scrolling back to sometime in 2015.......certainly numerous pages.......try it. Try scrolling through this Thread and count the Pages that DO NOT have a single cat picture.
Now, I don't really care if folks post pics of their cats, or other cats pics they find on the Internet...........but to single out cats as being some sacred creature that can not be poked fun at........yup, got a problem with that.
It seems that folks adopt the approach that if something annoys them, whoever is doing it must stop,,,,,,,STOP. However, if those same folks are doing something that annoys others.........well........that's just tough.
Now, I don't care if you guys post your pics or not, but it really, really annoys me........but, that doesn't matter does it?
Only other option I have left, as there appears to be a double standard here on CC enacted by some folks is to not bother with CC............

We recently acquired a cat for my daughter...it has not improved my opinion of cats.
It finds some kind of pleasure in peeing on my clothes. I suppose my wife could be in on it - to encourage me to put my clothes away, instead of laying them on the kitchen table.
