To our perspective looking out on the horizon with a plane flying toward us... wouldn't it have to "appear at the horizon" first and as it flies closer to us, the distance between the horizon and plane "grows" in appearance but in fact the plane never gained or lost altitude. Why wouldn't the same effect happen if the sun was replaced for the plane (on a flat earth)? ~Again, this is a sincere question and I am looking at all options while I learn, we've all got to start somewhere... Knowing that I know nothing compared to the knowledge available is TRUE KNOWLEGE.

You are acting like an idiot. He has been talking about facts. You are the one who is either lying because you get a kick out of looking so stupid that you think the earth is flat, or are so delusional as to think the world is flat.

The short answer is that I have been working waaaaaaaaaay too many hours...
I have been working 10 - and 12 - and 15 - hour days -- over the past several weeks.
Also, I generally spend a lot more time on CC reading posts than I do writing them. And, it sometimes takes me a good bit of time to write a post ( if there is any length - or 'depth' - to it ). For the past month or so, I am fairly sure that the time I have spent [ even ] reading them is a lot less than in the weeks previous to that.
After clicking 'Reply With Quote' -- and then sleeping in my chair for over four hours before even typing the first word -- and then taking [ 30 minutes? ] to type the post -- upon finishing the post, I went to add a smiley ( the one you see on the first line of this post ) - and lost the whole thing... ( Grrrrr )
So -- these words are from 'the second time around'.
There is a bit more to what I had intended to say than posthuman is assuming -- there are some "other" things I would like to illustrate and point out -- rather than [ just simply ] "WOW" you with the [ supposed ] size and distance of the sun...
I will try to get some of that into my next post.

Those kinds of hours are tough. I hope you are working the day shift. It gets even worse when you are working those hours at night.
I also hope you are getting paid well for all that time.
Ask God what He wants you to do with all that money, and if He would either cut your hours to what you enjoy, or give you a better job you really love.
Since we honor God in our work, He wants to be directly involved in what we do.
Perhaps He will lead you to be a missionary and you could work all over the globe.
