AM Service
"Jesus walked on the water"
PM Service
"Finding Jesus"

I had one scoop of ice cream, a half a donut and a half of a slice of Godiva Chocolate Cheescake from the Cheesecake Factory. That's more sugar than I've had all year, combined.
Uh oh! Well you will need to hit those abs double time Sonflower! Just kidding. A little indulgence is good. And I see the discipline shining in that "half of a slice of Godiva Chocolate Cheescake from the Cheesecake Factory." I don't think I could exercise such restraint. Your story is an inspiration! Oh and the half donut too.

...but that one full scoop of icecream? Repent sister!

What I want to know is, where is the other half donut and half slice? :D
Donut...don't know...don't care. The cheesecake, however, is in my fridge. Keep your Lynxy paws off it. It's mine. :p

S'alright. I just made chocolate pudding (homemade, not that instant junk) and for cocoa I melted down a few bars of Moser Roth chocolate. So I'm good.

I only get that cheesecake once a year. I *may* have overreacted a little. ;)

Your Lynxy paws can have any other food in my house though. I promise I don't cling to all food like it's the last bottle of water on a desert island. (Not to be confused with a dessert island - if that were the case we'd die happy)

Hopefully I have something nice to say, by next week. I was called to do a 2 minute talk in church next Sunday.

Someday I'd like an opportunity to try good Sushi. What it passed off as Sushi here in Central Iowa...in the center of the USA, is NOT anything I would consider trying given the times and distances food must travel, not to mention the ease at which a person can catch a food-borne illness. No, I'd like to someday travel to an area where I could try good Sushi. I think I might like it.

That phrase right there, the one about food born illness, makes me think you equate "sushi" with "raw fish." You have not lived until you have tried some good smoked salmon sushi. Alliterative and delicious.

Smoked salmon *anything* is probably good. As long as it doesn't involve chocolate. Seafood and chocolate should not be mixed.

Also, don't confuse candied salmon with smoked salmon... not the same thing at all!

There's a grocery store here called Wegmans. They're known for their really good authentic foreign foods. They have Sushi Chefs who do just that, make Sushi and it's really good and fresh.

I know the difference between Sushi (refers in actuality to the rice) and Shashimi. I'm not totally uncultured. My concern is with some 2-bit hack not washing his hands after a trip to the bathroom before he makes a poor attempt at a California roll.

A "California roll" is okay if it is done right, but it is far from the epitome of good sushi even if it is done to perfection.

Did that sound snobbish? We have multiple all-you-can-eat sushi bars - expensive, but all-you-can-eat - and I love most of them.
