I'm abit torn and I may rest in the fact that I don't fully understand yet but with the spilling of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin Heb 9:22, hence why there was a continual sacrifice of animals under the old covenant. Jesus on the other hand, His blood spilt and sacrifice is one and for all time... If we have to receive forgiveness from God every time we sin, whether intentionally or not, Jesus would have to spill His blood again to atone for it, or something would have to but obviously we know that Jesus' sacrifice is final.

My carnal wants to tell me you have to continually repent in order to receive forgiveness, it makes sense, that's how us humans deal with one another. But I feel it's different with Our Father, that's not saying I don't apologise and ask to God to forgive me when I screw up, but I think the forgiveness is somewhat 'automatic' for a lack of better words. As if He says, I know son, it's already done.

As I said, I don't quite understand as yet and could be wrong, but that's just some thoughts.

I am with you there friend, none of us are at the point where we fully understand God. We are on a life-long journey, only arriving at the resurrection from the dead. Any spiritual revival/revelation/awakening we have in the meantime is only 'partial and incomplete because WE don't get given the full measure of God's Spirit all at once....only in small amounts as we are able to use it in His righteousness.
IF all sin was already completely remitted we would not read Rom 3v25, they would all be 'past sins.
While ever we need forgiveness we still sin and have not learned to overcome it and may die in our sins...forgiven but not remitted. I do not think this is a good and perfect state to be in....do you ?

Just as Jesus wasn't given His complete authority as King of Kings & Lord of Lords until He fulfilled His Father's will & ascended, neither do we receive our "King-Priest" authority until we ascend also. If you don't believe that, then prove it with scripture.

This is Word of Faith doctrine, the name-it-and-claim-it theology. It basically states that christians can command just about anything & the Father does it. The problem with this doctrine it that the christian has the authority to make the Father do what we want. It's damnable heresy.

We do not make the Father do what we want. That's nonsense and a "construct" of someone's mind. We delight ourselves in the Lord and He gives us the desires of our heart and we speak forth His desires to come forth in our life as our life is in Him only.

We do not act independently of the Lord - He works in us to both give us the will and the capability to do His will. Phil.2:13.

Hypocrites proclaiming themselves to be God's "anointed" priesthood is nothing new, just look at papal authority doctrine, nothing more than men appointing themselves to be "holy" overseers. Turns out, as we often see in the news, many of the self appointed priests do some very lewd and evil acts.

Try the spirits people, for many deceivers are in the world proclaiming themselves to be God's "anointed", but you will know them by their words (doctrine) and actions=fruit.

I agree with Jesus' words in Matt 23:3 - but is this "application" of His words about your Sabbath keeping and the law of Moses thing again? I have no interest in that other than to see Christ in it. Then the law of Moses and the Sabbath greatly interests me as I love to see Christ in them.

Perhaps we should try to keep things in line with the OP and speak about what us as believers in Christ do as kings and priests under His authority?

OK - let us examine our conscience whether or not we are true disciples walking with and learning from Jesus 24/7 !

It seems that people have different views on healing and what Christ has done for us. Whenever wee base our faith in what our own personal thoughts and experiences are - or what other people's experiences are - other than what we believe the word of God says - we are elevating our own experiences above the word of God.

I have talked with people that said that they asked Jesus to forgive them of their sins and according to them - He did not. This is living from their own thoughts and experiences which do not line up with the word of God.

Jesus is perfect theology:

Jesus is the exact representation of the nature of the Father. Jesus said no one knows my Father.

Jesus came to reveal the Father and His true nature to us as truth in the OT was progressive and in pictures and in shadows, but it ends with the revelation of Jesus Christ and what He has already done in His finished work.

So, whatever understanding of God we get from the Old Covenant that doesn't line up with Jesus' manifestation of the Father will be inaccurate.

If we want to see what the Father's will is concerning a subject - see what Jesus did while He was on this earth.

If we want to see how the Father views sinners - look to see how Jesus interacted with them. ( both the prostitutes and the religious Pharisees )

If we want to see if it's God's will to heal people in their physical bodies - look to Jesus while He was here on this earth.

( show me where Jesus had rejected someone that came to Him for healing while He was on this earth doing the Father's will )

If we want to see what the Father's discipline looks like - watch Jesus discipline the disciples - He did it with His words.

Jesus and the Father are One in their nature, purpose and love.


Everyone is free to have the faith that they have on subjects but to say that people that believe Jesus is willing to heal us is a cult and a heresy is just spiritual ignorance gone to seed.

It's been a while since I've returned to this thread as the OP. I very much agree with you Grace777. We cannot judge God by our own limited experiences. It's always about looking to Jesus because as you said here in your post, Jesus IS perfect theology.

The Bible says there is NO condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. There has been no condemnation here in this thread and in this devotional. If one believer has come to a place where they do believe in healing in the atonement than it does not automatically say anything about someone else's faith of those who do not. I can only speak for my own walk with Jesus.

Disagreeing is not condemning. It's just disagreeing. We all have our own opinions and our own issues that have brought us to where we are in our Christian walk. For the reasons you posted and many more Grace777, I am one of the believers who does believe that there is healing in the atonement.

One is only clean if they are walking in holiness and purity by a faith that works by love.

It is so crazy that many people actually believe in a kind of imaginary pie in the sky cleansing which they completely separate from the real condition of heart. It is like a Magic Religion theh believe in.

When we were bought off from the slave block of sin in Adam's race we were brought into and given Christ's righteousness and became new creations. We were re-born into Christ. Given His righteousness and not our own. We are clean., all our sins were forgiven and forgotten by God as far as the east is from the west. All because of Jesus. We have the gift of no condemnation and need to believe it and apply it daily.

To some people grace is just too good to be true. Many will not dare apply it for the utter absurdity of how grace won't mix with human reason . But once you do the promises of God are all yes and amen because of the grace of God in Christ. We are now learning to walk out the new life Christ has bought for us and put in us. It's not "magic" it's grace.

The OP is very good but not quite 'in-depth.
We are not yet as clean and pure as we are led to believe...only our PAST sins are COMPLETELY forgiven/remitted/wiped out Rom3v25. That was to give us a fresh start as a new Creature/new Man.
That still leaves our PRESENT sins to be dealt with ! To say they are all paid for and forgiven is true, but does not do away with our present human state still able to sin....that is why we must still be aware of sin, repent and be forgiven. This is not dealing with it once for all time but happens repeatedly which means we are not entirely rid of sin. But we will be IF we continue to 'grow in Christ ! We must not rely and depend on forgiveness as a way out, but strive toward becoming pure and perfect conformed to the image of Christ - that is scripture !
And no - this does not in any way diminish what Jesus has done for us , absolutely not !

So when will Jesus die, be buried and raised to life again for our Present SIN? Please let me know, I would like to be there and watch....

To be sure Jesus has done HIS part---seems you have not done yours yet. Following false teaching to believe He has done it all FOR you is not going to change you nor teach you anything. You will just keep making the same mistakes and be the servant of sin.

As long as you sin and need forgiveness sin has power over you ! pretending it has not will not make it go away....it must be up-rooted. God is not going to tear it out of you against your will...YOU have got to let go. To become strong in the Lord Eph 6v10 we must stay close to Him 24/7 - not only 5 days !

You see, JESUS had to learn obedience and so must we Heb 5v8,9.
