I noticed when I was pregnant with my girl she moved around a lot more than my Son did. She kicked a lot and would move a lot in general. My Son kicked but he didn't move a lot. There were times I'd poke a little to get him to move. He's the baby that they had to induce labor with me and eventually I had a C Section, he wouldn't move. It's funny he's like that in real life, lol. He did run around a lot as a toddler and a little kid but last year when he turned 10 I had to start pushing him to do stuff. My Daughter has a hard time sitting still.

It's stressful when you have kid's as young as yours. Do you have friends with young kid's? I didn't when my kid's were small. I ended up joining a Mops group and still have two really good friends that I met there. It was nice to talk to other women with young kid's and know they understood the stress.

I have one friend. Yes, she has kids as young as mine, but her oldest is 12 or 13. She's also been in Texas for the last 3 months, and I haven't seen or heard very much from her since.
My daughter is turning 3 tomorrow, and she's my oldest. Three kids under 3 isn't exactly ideal, which is why I wanted to wait a long while before my next one. People have plans, God laughs. I can honestly say I get half an hour to myself, every month, but it's only in bathroom breaks and shower time. I REALLY need more days off, but I can't ever think of something that's fun to do all by myself, with my only friend all the way in Texas. There aren't a lot of places to go or things to do when I do have a chance to have a break, so I don't take one. Still waiting on the day that I have an art studio or an artists coffee shop to go to when I have a moment.

Speaking of an artists coffee shop! I want so badly to make a small business, here where I live. It would basically be an art store/coffee shop/ maybe book store. I want to do that, but the town I live in is basically a clique for Mormons. If you're not a Mormon, you're not in their clique, and they won't give you ANY of their business. It's ridiculous, and really sad for those people who want to have a business here, but can't because nobody will give the business the time of day. That being said, there are a few people here, who aren't Mormons, and will help you out. I'm just not confident that their numbers are sufficient.

That's to bad , I hope you can do a coffee shop. I know Mormons do stick together so that would be tough. I have friend that moved back to Pennsylvania from Utah a couple of years ago. He's and his Daughters are practicing Jew's, he said, yeah not a huge Jewish population in Utah. Lol.

You should look and see if their is a MOPS, Mom's of Pre-Schoolers groups in you area. They have people who watch the kid's, while you meet with other Mom's and discuss different topics. It's really nice and gives you a break.

We had a 10th birthday party for my Daughter today. It was fun. I requested they play some music from Frozen because some of the music they played was well weird. When they started Frozen all the boy's went, oh noooo! It was hysterical. Anyway she wanted a Pokemon cake. I'm not crafty so I ordered it from a bakery. We also had Owl candle's, adorable!

I understand the first day for such little kids, but then again, my Children's Pre-School teachers met them the class at the door and walked everyone up. I thought that was a great idea. It was very welcoming and their class mates were there and they could sit with them, it was nice. I honestly think it might help with the amount of tears. Of course you're going to have kid's that cry and we handle that very gently. Last year we had a mess, poor girl was crying, the Mother wouldn't leave. So then 3 other kid's started to cry. The Teacher was telling the Mom that it was fine, she'd be okay and it was best if she'd go. So she went into another room and waited and about every five minutes the Director had to check on her for the Mom, ugh. After meeting the parent's the other night I don't think we'll have that issue this year. I hope not.

Yeah, I think it's a great idea if the teacher just met them all at the front door. It is very welcoming.

I live E.Idaho, aka northern Utah, and you're right they are pretty known for taking care of their own. That part is commendable. Christians could sure take a lessonon that one.

I have a friend who is a carpet broker. Even though he really doesn't believe in the Mormon church/doctrine, he won't leave bc he believes it will wipe out his marriage and family. They have a real power over their people.

Sad thing is, at one time he believed what we do.

I used to live in Utah as well, and it would be TONS easier to do what I want to do, there, than it would be to do it here. Utah Mormons are so thick, they can't exactly be cliquish, and even without the Mormons, there are still plenty of people who are different religions, there, to run a decent business.
I've thought about getting with one of those groups, but I never really followed thrugh with it, for a few different reasons. I'm the kind of person who doesn't make friends easily. My friends are a few loyal people. Which is why I only have one right now. I have another person who is kind of considered a friend, because I helped him through a rough patch in his life, but he's a lot younger than me, and I consider him more of a little brother/nuisance, than a friend. Probably because he likes to try to fix my problems, or wants me to tell him about my problems, and I don't do that.
That's a level 10 friendship. He's probably a level 2 or 3. 4, if I'm feeling generous.
I hear lots of people tell me I don't get enough breaks, and I totally believe them. My problem is, once I get time, I have nobody I want to spend the time with, and nothing to do.

Smith commentary) gently remind them that that's where the Gospel is. They will contend that the bible hasbeen altered, challenge therm to show you, they can't. They'll bring up examples of Moses and Paul which is proof that they don't know what they're talking about. Bc as soon as you explain those things they Are dumbfounded.

Fun fact, my best friend and I trick or treated every Halloween until our 20's : p

We cant do it anymore, were starting to get to that point that people dont like it and we feel uncomfortable doing it, and my nephew is currently at that age where hes too cool to do it : p But we still like to hang out together on Halloween, and we usually just end up buying our candy, like any normal adult would do : p

I know that it's another day that will bring on endless debate. (Halloween) But few if any will fight for what the day was hijacked from. 11/1 All Saints Day. Celebrating the Saints of old. Many Saints are standing firm and faithful for their faith all over the world. More Christians have been martyred for our faith in the past century, than cumulatively for the entire history of the world. That's something to celebrate! Encourage our families with and share with the lost world!

Will we do that? Vast majority of believers sadly will not. Most will just focus on the negative, instead of getting out and engaging their neighbors. We'r always saying how things aren't what they used to be and how no even knows their neighbors. Maybe this is why?

I've sewed some pretty killer costumes for my kids over the years, and I'm not even a sewer. A pattern works wonders. I made a Daphne (from Scooby) costume for my daughter, Harry Potter capes for both kids, A prairie dress, Anna from frozen dress, Luke and Leia Costumes...

About halfway through each of these projects I say to myself, "what were you thinking woman?? Why did you take this on??" Ultimately, I'm happy I've been able to do those sorts of things for my kids. I've been a very blessed mom. That part of their life is almost over though...can't believe my kids are almost grown. Ok now I'm sad.

I don't contend with the missionaries I've met. I don't live in Utah anymore, so I don't get missionaries anymore. I don't tell them they're wrong, I don't tell them I'm right. When I lived there, I wouldn't answer the door sometimes, if I could get away with pretending I wasn't home.
Even if I was a Mormon, I wouldn't appreciate being dropped in on like they do. I don't mind people telling me what they think, I just don't like having surprise visitors, who stick around and keep me from doing my work.
If we get Jehovah's Witnesses out here, it surprises me. I don't think I've ever seen any other missionaries out here. I live outside a small town in Wyoming, so I don't think any traveling people are headed my way.

Oh, the topic of Halloween! Lovely. Again, I don't like surprise visitors, and while I'd LOVE to dress up for stuff, I'm not usually invited to the costume parties some people have, and I'm not going to wander the streets with the little kids. So I stay home, with my family. Turn the lights out, so I don't get visitors.
I wouldn't mind surprise visitors, if they were the not annoying kind. The kind that are there to actually visit, and I want them around. I'm picky about the company I keep.
