I think it's stupid to use 9/11 as a marketing tool. It doesn't surprise me though that it's being done.
Feeling pretty discouraged tonight about a gig I have going on for the next 9 days. If you could pray for me, I'd appreciate it. I know that God knows and will provide for all of my needs, but I'm dealing with an unexpected blow.

Wow, the way in which they make light of such a tragedy is incredibly insensitive. Like, there needs to be a better word to describe it. Insensitive doesn't seem like it's harsh enough. I have no idea what they were thinking...they weren't thinking.
Very tasteless. I'm also not surprised. I used to work as an Underwriting assistant for a life insurance company. Part of my job was to order medical records and call sales agents for information that was missed on the application or shady information. They had a lot of sales agents in Manhattan and surrounding areas. A few of them were pretty sneaky not so nice people. One of them sent in a little bigger than usual batch of applications. I went through them and called and asked if they were all from him or were some from other agents that worked with him. He said they're all from him and I said, wow you had a good week! Then he says, 9/11 was a great incentive to get people to buy insurance. I just sort of push that this won't be the last terrorist attack and you have to protect your family. I had no words. This wasn't to long maybe just a couple of months after it happened.

I'm kind of proud of myself. I don't like clothes shopping. I have a hard time finding pants that aren't to long. I still wear a lot of the same shirts I wore when I was at my heaviest. I am very self conscious about my appearance. I try not to be, it's very hard. I hide under clothes. Well I was talking to a friend and told her I need clothes that you know fit. I bought some shorts that's easy, but I usually buy everything to big. I hate trying stuff on. She asked if I've gone and tried regular not plus sizes on yet? Uh no I'm afraid, very afraid. She encouraged me just to go and see and just try. So today I went to the mall and actually tried on pants that fit! And a shirt too. So I bought a pair of ankle length strait leg pants and a pair of regular straight leg black pants. I know this seems like nothing, but this is a huge step for me. Clothes that aren't huge look nice.

Would appreciate prayers for my cousin's 3 year old daughter. She's having open brain surgery today (probably about now, actually) for a tumor/some blood vessels that could break and cause bleeding on the brain.
