They'd have to have steel teeth to eat mine - it's brick!

Whatever they are they're big, fly and bite. We call them flying ants but you could be right.
Why is it that some of the most disgusting bugs can also fly and terrorize us? Doesn't seem fair... We have hugh flying Palmetto bugs here in Florida also known as a big cock roach....yuck and when they fly they fly right at you....Horrible bug...

I don't think Europe has termites.

Flying ants are annoying enough though.

Is the framing of your home brick also? Or maybe they used metal two by fours in the construction? Because they will tunnel under the brick facade to get to the wood behind it.

However, I did not know Europe does not have termites........Hmm......will have to "search" that.

Anyway, IF THEY BITE, they probably are flying ants........but they only swarm for a while, then their wings fall off, and they act like normal pesky, nasty, biting critters that I can not for the life of me understand why God created them. I know He had His reasons, and some things are simply a mystery. :)

We have termites in the US, and we got ants...........then we got FIRE ANTS.......if they are not a plague, then they missed a great chance to be ONE OF THEM.

Pluck off their heads, heat up the sauce pan, a little butter 'n' brown sugar, and throw them in to saute. Not bad, not bad atall! :)

The door and window frames are plastic but we do not treat our wooden outbuildings so I'm guessing we don't have termites.

Food for the birds, they have to have a varied diet, God thinks of everything. Also to let us know it's not all about us. ;)

I once had a bug problem. They were like flies but much much smaller. I always found them on my coffee cup in the morning. (I should wash it more often). Then I found Raid and my problem went away in one day

BTW I used to leave my sliding glass door to my patio a little bit open so that my cat could go outside whenever she wonted. I now keep the door closed and that too helps :)-
