This is my first post here, so hear me out, ok=). There were some dates given a while ago, and small tinapa, a smoked fish often made from milkfish and mackerel here. The common tinapa are abt 6 inches or bigger with the milkfish, but i found 2 inches being sold in the mkt. While i didnt use to mind these, unlike the bigger, i learned u can fry the smaller ones and have tasty, crunchy fish and eat all the calcium from te bones too.

Cashews. Hey has anyone ever seen a cashew still in its shell?? I've always wondered what their shell looks like. I know what an almond in a shell looks like, and a peanut, and a pecan, and a walnut... but I'm stumped on cashew shells...

The do a great show about it in Foodcia on discovery channel...but here is a good summary of how they use fire to roast the shells to get rid of toxins coating the cashew.... very neat read....
