Since the Law stated that tithes were agricultural, Jesus would not have told them to tithe money.

Jesus didn't come to do away with the law, but to fulfill it. Paul thank God for the Law, he said he didn't know what sin was until the law showed him.

i'm in no way saying we are living under the law today. when Christ came that was the end of the law.

my point is this: nowhere did Jesus tell anyone to keep the Sabbath (which he would have if the law was still in affect) but he did say to the man in matthew you "ought to pay tithes"

all i'm saying is that's all I need to hear him say "you ought to " if Jesus says "you ought to" I think "you ought to"

didn't Jesus tell the man to offer the sacrifice so it would be a "testimony to the priest's"????
Do we still offer 2 doves to some priest somewhere for a healing?

You r losing the argument.

Peter and John went to pray. Here comes a beggar. They said 'silver and gold have we none'. Why not? Not two dimes to rub together? Thousands were getting saved. Tons of tihes coming in according to you. And they were broke??
They should have gone to the 'pastor' of the twelve (can you tell us who that exalted, titled, salaried one would be? Scripture is silent about him as silent as the command to tithe) and asked him for some of that loot so they could help this poor guy. Then after they gave him a twenty and gotten him saved, they could have gotten two dollars back from him in tithes.

They had a council in Acts. The law keepers, like yourself, were trying to bring the gentiles into bondage. 'Lay nothing more on the gentiles than this. Eat nothing sacrificed to idols. Dont eat blood. Dont eat anything strangled. Keep from fornication. And make sure you pay tithes on your gross plus offerings to the 'pastor'. Oops! Did i lay that out right?

The main hallmark in the modern den, and scripture provides no command for it. Interesting!

you have severed yourself from the body and you have convinced yourself that you are right, and every church in the world is wrong. for what? MONEY

I'D hate to stand before God when he asks "why did you not faithfully attend my house?" and my reply MONEY!!!!!

Proverbs 3:9 (KJV)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

I Love the church. Christ loves the Church. I need the fellowship of the Saints.

I'M curious about something, the place you buy your groceries, is everyone there non tithe paying Christians like you? and still you buy groceries there.

but yet, because nobody in the church believes like you, you don't go.

As I stated previously, I am not welcome in any building where religious services are being held in my town due to the fact that they all teach the monetary tithe requirement lie and I teach against the lie.

Being blind and on disability, I don't have the luxury to travel to other towns or counties like the working man can. So, meeting in the local institutions of deceit is out of the question.

by the way, I thought you were debating all along.

So tell me. The poor man tithes and hurts for it. The rich man tithes and there is no pain at all. You r saying that this is God's plan?
The old covenant tithe took care of the poor man. Your idea of the tithe forces the poor man to pay up. Who changed this dynamic?

Like the average liberal on Fox News, you spin and dance. You use diversionary tactics to avoid answering a straight question. In other words, you change the subject.
I ask 'do we offer two doves for a healing'? You answer with ' so you dont go to church huh?'

News flash: a brick building is not the house of God. We are the house of God. He does not dwell in buildings made by the hands of corruptable man.
We are to fellowship with believers that follow His word. A novel concept i do admit.

The tithing still exists under the New Covenant.........

We are not however still held to the 10% rule, we are to give what we can from the the heart and not out of obligation !!!

The Apostle's did collect tithe's (took up collection) but the Word of God says when they took up this collection in one town they were to give it to the needy in the next town. It did not say to keep it for themselves to give them a luxurious life style as some preachers are doing today !!!

We are called to esteem others more then self, not esteem self more then others !!!

did you not read my post? Those religious institutions do not want me fellowshipping or worshipping with them. I am not welcome there.

one does not go where one is not welcome.

you may wish to agree with thieves and extortioners, I cannot.

The monetary tithe requirement is a doctrine that is found nowhere in the Word of God. It is a man-made commandment.

But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men -- Jesus Christ; Matthew 15:9

Tithing does not exist in the New Covenant. That is, not God's holy tithe.

The tithe that exists today is a tithe invented my deceitful men and embraced only by those who are ignorant of what God's Word says concerning His holy tithe.

And no, the Apostles did not collect tithes. The fact that you make such a claim reveals to me that you have no true understanding of what the Bible says concerning tithing.

That which the Apostles took up was a colloction,... not tithes.

Giving continues...giving freely as we are prospered, giving with a cheerful heart.

Please provide Scripture showing that the Apostles collected tithes.

I know they were given money from the sales of property(land, homes) from Acts 4, but am not aware of them collecting 10%(a tithe) or multiple tithes.

For both the pro-tithers and the pro-givers:

T/F - All tithes in O.T. times were brought to the storehouse.

T/F - Tithes were always delivered to the storehouse by the tither.

T/F - Tithes and firstfruits and offerings are all the same thing; the words are synonymous.

T/F - In O.T. times, Israelites were allowed to eat part of their tithe.

T/F - In O.T. times, one tithe was due on agriculture and livestock.

T/F - In O.T. times, the first of every 10 animals was part of a tithe. It was to be the finest and best of the flock.

T/F - In O.T. times, tithing was done on agriculture every year.

I think you mean offerings when you say tithe. A tithe is a tenth of something and that isnt what the apostles took up.

Lets correct that a bit. Anybody that believes the organized church is spot on simply do not know what the scriptures say about it. Much of the word is sidestepped and what is allowed to surface is strained through the pulpit filter. Twisted for fun and profit. Devilish doctrines added to the word, again, for fun and profit.

Type in 'which pastor'.....they all rejected me and some i had to run from. No thats not the only ones. That's a snippet. They all wished i never walked in the door. So they cast ME out, not the other way. There you go judging me again. No! I was not headstrong. Back then i even believed the falsehoods of tithes, titles, and clerics. So there!! They despised me because i was sold out, the whole route. That will drive a pastor berserk. It convicts them of their sin and falsehood. Thats the Holy Spirit.

In '77 i recieved a prophesy 'The churches you been in so far wished you never walked through their doors'. Then another 'the church is not ready for you YET!' One in Texas, one in Omaha.
I already know your gonna say these were not from God so shut the pie hole. Dont even try judging another man's servant.

Now dont think im mad atcha 'cause i aint. We're just in total disagreement on God's design for things.

You know something? You really dont want me to come visit your den (church). To see why, see: 'which pastor'.

If a "pastor" teaches the monetary tithe requirement and is never convicted by the Holy Spirit of that lie, I question that man's authority to feed the flock of God. I have to question whether God placed that pastor in the assembly, or if God just allowed the assembly to have the king they wanted.

Ive talked to some that agree with me but then cant break away from the crowd they love.

Talked to two gals one time who asked me about Hinn. Told them a boatbload, the drugs, the necromancy, false prophesies and such. You wanna know what they said to me after about 20 minutes of drilling?
Hold on to your hat. They replied ' well,....we still like him. We're going to go see him tonight at the auditorium. '(Omaha).

There you go my friend. Now you know why no one is coming to my house for study and fellowship. A spirit of rebellion and deception.

Standingfirm, i know its a different deal but unless you are teaching the lies the church does, you'll never get an audience any time soon. Oh maybe a few.

And you know where i stand on this Pastor Diotrephes deal.

God may have given pastors to the Early Church.

However, I am not convinced that He gave the Church of today these pastors who teach the monetary tithe requirement lie.
