I got an unexpected Christmas gift last night.
I had accompanied two men singing "O, Holy Night" at the Christmas Eve services, with an elderly, retired pastor playing violin. Afterward, the pastor, who has a few extra tickets, invited me and a friend to a Symphony concert early next year. Wow!
I'm almost dead tired. Finally all the Christmas parties are over. If it weren't for the presents, I would have completely hated December. But I got a lot of gifts this year! I should make more friends. Oh but I get New Year's day all to myself. Finally some chill time. Literally just laying in bed staring at the wall right now. I'm enjoying this.
So glad to hear that, Lil!I spent most of Christmas with my stepmom's side of the family. It was a really nice gathering. They've really started to accept us, and I'm super relieved.
It is 46 degrees F right now and this is supposed to be the desert. Is mother nature on vacation or something???
Record breaking here in philly, but really, winter's on it's way!Just blame El Niño... For real.. It was 60 degrees F here on Christmas Day... And I'm pretty much central of the US.
So... In other words... Not normal for us.. Lol

World Cat is cool too. Its where you can go to your library and check out any library book from any library in the country. Even college libraries. They will ask if you are willing to rent the book for a certain amount just say no. My librarian told me he has never seen anyone have to rent a book before.Oh and there's an app called LibriVox where you can download and listen to great audiobooks for free. You can volunteer to be a narrator as well. They have lots of books, good for self studying or just feeding the brain. I'm tempted to listen to Lincoln's autobiography, but I might just fall asleep right now. Hmmm, maybe tomorrow.
