A prayer request.. my city has been battered by unprecedented rainfall. The amount of rainfall we received last month was nearly equal to the highest rainfall recorded in the same month in this century! Vast areas of the city have been flooded, civil utilities have been disrupted, homes have been flooded, and everything is a mess. That the Government and the civil administrative machinery are poorly equipped to handle this, only adds to our misery.

The weather has deteriorated again today. The forecast for this week looks bleak. We have lost power and the city has been shut down again. Please pray for us, more importantly, for the poor who may have lost everything because of the flood.

This breaks my heart for your city, Roh. :( Are there any trustworthy charity/relief organizations that we might also be able to help donate to in order to provide some practical aid as well as prayer?

Seoul, thank you for your concern. Thank you also for offering to pitch in for charity. To be honest, it is still a local disaster. Even the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) has not been fully activated. I reckon that the level of severity is limited to a few tens of thousands who have been displaced because of the flood. I don't think we need donations yet, but I will keep you posted if the situation changes. In my opinion, countries like Nepal and Syria require more support than the people here. I think the ones who are safe in my city can support and provide for the ones who aren't.

I am guessing some of these trolls are unfortunately smart enough to get around an IP ban :(
