Someone I know once said this about the subject:

19“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

(Matthew 6)

It's very clear here where some people's hearts are. (Their heads too)

Just like the example of the manna in the desert was to the Israelites, we are not to try and store up and trust in earthly things., earthly things will rot. We are to trust in the Giver not what He gives., and make no mistake, He gives all the time.

It pleases the Father for us to go to Him for our needs and wants. To show Him we trust Him, not OUR ability to take care of ourselves, but His ability to take care of us. That is where our hearts have to be and our heads.

You trust in doctors and medication to get well while condemning those who trust in God and His word for their healing.
There's just something wrong and wicked about that.
What you are polarising is two worlds, doctors on one side, and faith and healing on the other.

The world is both together.

And the battle is around sin, not miracles, how love works through the soul of a person.

I am not condemning people, I am pointing out the easy life and greed are of this world. You have managed to mix it in with being spiritual, which is a dangerous mix but nothing new. Because I point this out, and do not agree with your new interpretation of scripture I am now evil.

You also want me to not believe in miracles, or the spiritual gifts, all of which I do believe in. So your only defence is to exagurate and miss represent me, and then call me evil. I do not think you heard Jesus,

Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Matt 7:22-23

The emphasis is not on the spiritual, but on actions. It is easy to claim great works of God, but to walk in the Kingdom is much more difficult.

So, you want to fill your bank account, buy a big house, fill it with possessions, drive an expensive car, wear tons of bling, facepaint your makeup, wear expensive clothes...

Just what the h-e-double hockey sticks do you think storing up earthly things means?

Amazing, simply amazing. And they think Osmium and Iridium are the densest things on earth..!

Matthew 18 15“If your brother or sister[SUP]b[/SUP] sins,[SUP]c[/SUP] go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’[SUP]d[/SUP] 17If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

Been there done that, see you later.

So you want everyone to be sick, dying, having hard times with everything going wrong and nothing working out and blighting, homeless, jobless, without a car or one that continually has to be fixed, penniless, ugly, and without hope?
We all can twist the words of another if we try hard enough, but to some it comes naturally. For as the spirit is in the man, so is the man, for you shall know them by their fruit.
You need to stop perverting the words others sir.

What you are polarising is two worlds, doctors on one side, and faith and healing on the other.
The world is both together.
Isa 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Doctors and medication are the natural, working on the natural. Healing is God doing it without the help of any other person or thing such as medication.
God does not heal through doctors. If He did, He would be giving some of the glory to another, along with the praise. Did Jesus use any kind of medication for anyone's healing?
No. If He did, then how could He say that He healed them. As it was then, so it is today.

I am not condemning people, I am pointing out the easy life and greed are of this world. You have managed to mix it in with being spiritual, which is a dangerous mix but nothing new. Because I point this out, and do not agree with your new interpretation of scripture I am now evil.
No, God is the one who called you evil, I'm just the messenger. You condemned yourself with all the negative, twisting, and doubting words. Turning the word of God into a lie, and that which is in the natural as truth.
Let man and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God be a lie, but God and His word be faithful, true, and truthful.
Every situation that doesn't line up with the word of God is a lie of the devil.
Can two walk together except they be agreed?
If you don't agree with the word of God, then you agree with the lie of the devil. There is no middle ground of fence straddlers. You either believe what God said and hold to that or with what the natural world dictates.
You cannot serve two masters, for you will hold to the one and despise the other. That is to say, holding to the things of the natural and despising the truth or promises of God and calling those things a pipe dream or fantasy world. Basically calling the truth of God's word a lie.

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him:
Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

The only kind of faith I see you possessing is faith in the natural. This is not pleasing to God.
And because you doubt the promises of God, aside from ignoring them, you even call them a lie by calling and holding to the things of this world as truth. They might be true but they certainly are not truth. There is a difference.

You also want me to not believe in miracles, or the spiritual gifts, all of which I do believe in. So your only defence is to exagurate and miss represent me, and then call me evil. I do not think you heard Jesus,
If I have exaggerated or misrepresented you, then I apologize. However, as far as I know, I have only used what you have written against you without twisting what you said to mean something different.
Again, I call you evil, like I would call any unbeliever, evil hearted. God hates and condemns doubt or unbelief in Him and His Son, the truth/gospel/promises. Should I be or do otherwise?
I know the world's system is going to fall, but unlike what you said about me, only those who trust in the natural world will fall with the world. Those who trust in God to provide them all their need, will have all their needs met. That's how God operates.

Just trying to help you get out of that cabin on the ship and eat at the Captains table. There is such joy in knowing He will take care of us in any situation. He tells us to call out to Him and He will answer. To have that kind of confidence in His love and watch care is invaluable and totally needed to get through this life without fear. The Bible says that God has not given us the spirit of fear., but of POWER and LOVE and a SOUND MIND.

When we see things going on in the world we are not to be fearful but of good cheer. When there is a need God wants to meet that need. If we are blind He is the light., if we are broke, He is our provider, if we are sick, He is our healer, If we are depressed He is our Peace.

He is the answer for all our issues in life. Jesus said to come unto me all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest.

I have learned to be happy in abundance and in lack.

We grew up poor and I saw what a curse poverty is.

I know heaven has no lack,so it would seem some will be unhappy there LOL

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
So, as God's will is in heaven, so is His will for us here on earth.
If there is no poverty in heaven, then His will is that we be not poor here.
If there is no sickness in heaven, then His will is that we be health, sickness and disease free, here on earth.

The very awesome thing about this kind of faith is knowing Jesus has already defeated our enemy and by faith we walk in that same victory. We grow from faith to faith., so it's not an overnight habit. Takes some time to learn how to walk by faith and not by sight. And it can get very discouraging when the enemy has the things we see with our physical eyes at his disposal and causes sin to thrive along with sickness and death in the world. He influences the unsaved world to walk in sickness misery and death and we cannot help but be touched by seeing it all around us. No wonder He tells us to walk by faith and not by sight., to not be overcome with evil but to overcome evil with good., and so many other admonitions to keep looking to Him, keeping our eyes fixed on Him so as not to be discouraged with the world because the world has no hope without Christ.

It's also important to understand that the Lord's Prayer has a prophetic component to it as well.
When it speaks of God's Kingdom coming and His will being done (perfect will) it also alludes to the millennial reign and beyond in Christ. He has not established His physical Kingdom and when it has come to pass, His will WILL be done without hesitation and reservation on this earth :)

In addition, it speaks directly to spiritual wealth, which, if it is what God wants for us, can manifest in the natural. It doesn't always have to. We are asked to seek His will and that which is pleasing unto Him.
Sometimes God uses sickness as well for His purposes. It's not about understanding what God is saying through our own understanding, but submitting to and allowing the Holy Spirit to show us His intent and then accepting and changing.

The problem is simple. Years ago before anti-biotics, people died from simple infections.
Now we have cancer treatments, organ transplants and people are alive because of these drugs, not on a minor scale but across the world.

My mother, aged 90 is alive because of medical drugs, but care must be taken. This is a fact of life and most elderly people live with this reality. Take simple food alergies like gluten intolerance. Eat any wheat based food, the gut closes down and the people die from vitamin problems, slowly over a few years.

Now our churches are full of such elderly people, faithfully walking in the Lord and trusting in Him. They see the Lords provision through medical knowledge. Take a simple example. If you do not eat and drink you will die. This is not a faith issue, but you could make it so if you wanted. Now there is fasting for 40 days, which is a long time and the Lord provided, but not for everyone.

Now to say all these people are not walking in faith is being judgmental. To say it is wrong not to claim healing in faith every time also leads to death, when people give up the life saving drugs etc. because they believe with no fruit, following the idea that is how faith works. And when they are dead, they did not believe enough.

We are also facing dementia on a scale never seen before, people never lived so long so often. But do you see the irony. Because health is so much better, people live until their bodies are really weak and fragile and broken.

Now Jesus speaks to the spirit of a person, to who they are inside, which may or may not show in their physical body.
So I know your position is from ignorance and seeing evil in the wrong places and not addressing the torment of the soul by sin and guilt.

This is why it is so easy for the leaders to become so corrupt and lost and it is not noticed, because the show is just a show. I have always found it astonishing how those blessed with wealth and health believe it is their right rather than a gift.

These same people live without acknowledging wealth comes from society and its efficiency, it does not appear out of thin air, a poor society cannot create wealthy individuals because they have faith. But somehow this idea has been accepted, but then gems appearing from angels, gold teeth, gold dust, feathers of angels, smoke is equally a reality and not a faked circus show by desperate believers to justify themselves because life transforming reality is not enough, or probably never actually taken place.

The church is a ship, with most believer locked in their cabins, and not at the table with the captain.Look at the apostles, who did eat with the captain. They were scared of the pharisees and what they could do to them. And they were right. They founded a community who shared everything in common as their was need and God blessed them. They all went to their deaths, poor but fulfilled individuals following the Lord. No where did they preach health and wealth expectations, because it did not exist. Paul did rebuke those from rich towns who claimed their prosperity was down to their spiritual maturity, rather than the society they were part of.The problem is simple. Everyone will try and justify themselves to flatter why they wealthy and full of health. If it is a gift of God and not something to give away, indulgence is not a problem. Equally health says they are overcomers, rather than just fortunate people, the product of good food, good parenting and good healthcare. It is one step better than claiming it is all because of self. The problem is in 5 years when anti-biotics fail, and people start dying, and simple health prevention approaches become life and death issues, all these ideas will be yesterday. And all those believers who believed this version of faith will then say they were lied to. Is that the inheritence of faith you want to sow, a lie, which will destroy all you are building, on shaky sand of this world, held up by medical knowledge and expertise, but claiming it is actually spiritual faith.Putting this in perspective, look at how many preachers with multi-million ministries also have health care and dental plans?

I had a thought. How many people have fillings in their mouths and every 6 months go to the dentist?

We do this because our teeth get holes and wear out. But if this health and wealth doctrine worked, they would no longer be needed. Now if you avoid sugary drinks, brush often, get your teeth specially coated, you may avoid any issues. But this is not down to faith, but prevention. I have yet to meet one person to which this is not true.

God has blessed us with good Doctors and hospitals., and medications. I use doctors when I have to and other things that I have access to and count them as blessings from God. Not all of us Christians believe the same. I am more so Word of Faith than fundamental Baptist but like Baptists or any group of different believers., we have different leanings about certain things. So please don't make the mistake of throwing every individual Christian into the same pot when it comes to certain 2nd ary issues. It really shows a lack of understanding about people when you do that..

I am not doing that. What you are missing, is though you may have a balanced view on faith, healing, wealth, poverty, illness, there are some who follow Creflo Dollars proclamation poverty is evil, illness is evil. These are not 2nd issues, but a different gospel.

One person argued that to admit you were ill was accepting the illness, and confessing you were ill, just stating it was being ill. The idea was whatever you say about the future is what it becomes, because as children of God we command the future into existence.

You then have a whole load of ideas around heavenly portals, territorial spirits, travelling to the 3rd heaven to meet apostles, get advice etc. Trouble is the knowledge gained has added up it seems to nothing. Some where beginning to say they were going to add to scripture because they are now the "apostles" with equal authority as the actual apostles.

The problem is this assumes there is now something new to reveal. It supposes the mission of the church is other than being a loving caring community bringing part of heaven to earth. And the community who speak like this?
NAR and associated groups, who were WOF etc.

This thread was started because they believed they were right. But they have failed and their teaching is heresy.

[TD="colspan: 3, align: left"] Have you ever wondered why, in some Bible stories, God asked the people to give what little they had to Him? It may appear cruel, but the truth is that God was setting them up for a blessing! God’s way is to use whatever we have, and multiply it back to us once we put it in His hands.
The widow of Zarephath had only a handful of flour and a little oil to make one last meal for her son and herself before they faced starvation. But she trusted God and used a portion of the little that she had to make a cake for the prophet Elijah. And God rewarded her by making sure that her bin of flour was not used up and her jar of oil did not run dry until the drought ended. (1 Kings 17:8–16)
Similarly, the boy who gave his little lunch of five loaves and two small fish to Jesus not only ate well, but he also saw it being used to feed more than 5,000 people with 12 baskets full of leftovers! (John 6:1–13)
Whenever we give what little we have to God, whether it is money, time or energy, it opens up our hearts so that God can fill us up with more. And when we give our lives to God, we can trust Him to make things right for us and to be the rewarder of our faith.
When Ruth, a childless Moabite widow, left the comfort of her home to follow her mother-in-law Naomi and the God of Israel back to a foreign land (Ruth 1:16), she was given a full reward by the Lord. God gave Ruth protection and ensured that she was well-provided for through Boaz, a wealthy relative who took on the role of kinsman-redeemer for her and Naomi. (Ruth 2:9, 4:9–10)
Beloved, as you trust God with what you have today, know that He loves you and is setting you up for more blessings. So expect to see even more of His provision and abundance in the days to come![/TD]

If you are looking for a quick fix to life it isn't going to happen..., if your looking for all of your questions to be answered in one sitting that won't happen either. Because we are creatures of time and space we receive things in our time and space. Unless God does a miracle and by passes time and space which He also does but in His time.

Like Ruth., she went through losing her husband, saying goodbye to her familiar people and surroundings.
And went with her mother-in-law. These were all processes in her life that led her to the place where she was to be blessed and used by God. God completely changed her circumstances as she learned to trust and walk with Him. Simple trust but awesome trust. Not looking around but looking to Him.

By all logic, she could expect nothing but she went anyway. That is how I have found my Christian life to work too. Unless I learn to defy logic every day, my faith walk is weak. Fear sets in and looking around at my circumstances overtakes my senses. When that begins to happen I go to the Bible and lean on the promises and look away from the world.

Time and time again that is the only way to be joyful and grow in faith and have the strength to go out into the world and witness of His love for people. When I am full of the knowledge of His love for me I can confidently go out and give it to others. It's the only way.

Romans 11:29 "For God's gifts and His call are irrevocable. He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call."

Having confidence in Him rather than our works and worthiness is what makes us strong in the faith and able to do what is needed. Grace teaches how to do these things not man's will and determination. It is grace that does this in and through us. When Christians begin to fail, it is because they have forgotten they were cleansed. They forget who they are and then lose their way.

Hagin used to say"get excited about the word"..."that's when it will work for you"

Sirk brought up. The woman at the well in another thread.

I used her very words in my petition and prophesy over my dog before heaven.

We got our miracle. But,like her,I invoked an even longer tenacity for about 3 weeks.

The heavens were brass for the most part, except for the verses he have me.

Then about a week before the miracle,he spoke.JUST ONCE"DAVID,YOU ARE VERY CLOSE TO YOUR MIRACLE"

Had I given up 1) the dog would be dead 2) I would have missed the greatest lesson in faith. 3) the 3 verses that came special delivery, would be "just verses"...but now I own them.

The reality of the power and radicalness of the gospel HAS YET TO BE PREACHED
