I already posted this in the prayer forum, so if you have seen it, don't worry about this post.

I failed the biologic I have been on for the last 5 months. I have massive flares everywhere and I'm taking lots of OTC drugs to try and manage the pain. I can't walk or lift things. (Typing is still possible! Irony, hey?)

So he is starting me on a DMARD, Arava, which I took for lunch and I am now feeling the side effects already, including the liver hurting me, and dizziness.

He is also putting me on the last possible biologic out there, Orencia, because my RA is so severe (I am the patient with the worst RA he has ever seen!) So the med has to jump through some approval hoops, but hopefully some samples in the next day or two? It is a weekly needle, which shouldn't be too bad.

So I need prayer that these drugs will work, and with a minimum of liver issues or other side effects.

If Orencia and Arava fail, then it will be long term care for me. I've been crying a lot. Because other people I know who were on Orencia, it only lasted a year.

Oh Angela, I am so sorry that you having this problem but I know that God has and is not finished with blessing you and your family. You know that I am always here if you need prayer or just someone to talk to. You have helped me in more ways than you realize and I feel blessed to have that opportunity. You are always in my prayers sister.

Angela, I am so sorry you are experiencing so much pain and difficulty with your RA :( I pray the meds will help but more than that I pray God will heal you from the horribly debilitating condition you have found yourself in, and if not that, that you are able to persevere with faith and grace and find some calling in all of this as a means of further serving God. Here is a story of someone who lives with constant pain. I hope you can find some comfort in it.

Trying to keep my mind off my injection next week. It's no fun having giant needles penetrate into your back..even if I CAN'T feel it..lol..

Hi magenta, I hit like because of your post, but I cant get link to work.
Angela, I have before and will again pray for your healing. Father in heaven, I admit I do get angry sometimes, Lord, about pain and illness, and I dont know where to direct my anger. I pray so much, Lord, for ppl to be healed, especially my sisters and brothers. And right now for Angela, Lord, please, ..... Please Lord, let it be your will that Angela gets a miracle from your healing touch, Jesus. Sometimes Father, I think if it was in my power and someone asked, I would heal them in a snap, and I know Lord, all power and might and authority are yours, and I don't understand why the answers to prayer sometimes seem to be no or at least not yet. Forgive me, Father, for thinking at times I'd know better than you what is best for us. Help me to trust you when I dont understand. Just like at prayer last night in church, one sister was moved to tears praying for the refugees trying to escape persecution, and even tho we all were praying, we were not all moved the same way, and I dont know why, and now, Father, my heart is really hurting for Angela and I'm fighting back tears asking for her healing, and I dont know why I'm not always moved this way, or what that means. Help me, Lord, to not so much need to understand as I would just be believing. I know that ultimately Angela has her healing in you, Lord, as do we all who call upon Jesus to be our Saviour, we praise you, Father, for your grace and mercy, but until that day, Lord, please grant Angela more grace to bear, more mercy, and maybe today, Lord, an end to pain, thru the power and presence of your Holy Spirit in Jesus' name, amen.
 
Methinks we need a little pick me up on Speak, well first things first my mom doesn't need surgery and second is my dad got an AMAZING job offer as he is miserable where he's at currently and the job would include better pay and benefits. PRAISE GOD!

My family has been hit hard this summer and I firmly believe God is unleashing something great. God is always faithful and wants to give us the desires of our hearts we just need to remain steadfast in our faith and trust in HIM

Ouch you should be a pro by now....want to take all my shots for me? I will need every shot I got when I was a a baby again soon.... :p

Just out of a conference in my church! And after the lectures, there was a concert by one of the best christian rock bands in Brazil, Resgate!!! LOVED IT!!!!

Keeping America in our prayers with the memory of 9/11. A sad day for the world and a tragic event...

Also praying for the families who lost loved ones that day.
