I know we don't have a murder squad at my church, but if Ken thinks we do, we must

I think he is talking about past history, that yes the Catholic church is guilty of putting innocent people to death.
But the Protestant church is just as guilty of doing the same, putting innocent people to death in the past.

I know lying is a sin and this needs to be exposed for the uneducated that might believe some of the ridiculous accusations here
And yet, you never actually address the issues we bring up. You simply call us "bigots", "haters", and "liars".

Not much of a defense for your side.

Mwc68 has no defense and cannot refute what God says in the Scriptures.

This is why the Catholics attack us True Christians.

You say I worship idols. I don't, you lie.
You don't even know what a rosary is for. So you lie and say its idolatry.

Not trying to disrupt, just honestly want to know...What IS 'the protestant church'?

Jesus provided for this at the Last Supper. It is not a re sacrifice. Did Jesus say it was? For the remission of sins? No, where'd you hear that?

Your Priests are drawing Him down from heaven, and He's being transformed into a wafer - for what purpose then, if not a sacrifice for the remission of your sins?

I can't answer for Ken, but I think he means the body of Christ that is non-Catholic.

Any church not Catholic
False !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is what the Catholic church tells you again, but not all churches that are not Catholic are Protestant.
As the Protestant churches still hold to some of the Catholic teachings as well even though they will not admit it.

I am not Catholic nor Protestant...........

I think I read somewhere Jesus said do this in memory of me. Maybe you should stop listening to the Catholic haters if they can't even tell you what communion is. Figured you would have read that for yourself

Do you all just sit in here all day every day insulting one another and calling the other names while attempting to destroy what's most precious to the other?

Every one of you who obsess over this thread do a terrible injustice to our Lord and the Christian faith.

Nobody here is converting anyone from anything. Nobody is convincing anyone to leave a church or join a church. Nobody here is proving to anyone that they are right.

You all fail miserably in your attempts here at evangelizing the other.
What's exhibited here daily from all of you is a sorry excuse for Christianity. You all put your souls in grave danger every single time you post your vitriol to the other.

Step back. Take a breath. Pray! Try to respond in love and charity instead of the hatred and darkness which permeates your hearts.

Careful, guys.

Funny - The Catholic Church says it is.

Quote: "And what does Christ do in the Holy Mass? He offers himself for us, as he offered himself on the Cross. He sacrifices himself for us. That is why we say that the Mass is the same Sacrifice as that of the Cross renewed in an unbloody manner on the altar. On the altar just on the Cross, Christ offers his body and blood for us."

For what?

Quote: "
But the penitential act, if it is said well, certainly helps to obtain pardon for present venial sins as well as to stir up new sorrow for past sins that have already been forgiven. In this way it helps us to purify ourselves and so to take better part in the Holy Mass."

So, you may want to change your tune.

I read it for myself at Catholic Education Resource Center.

It looks like you don't know what your own Mass is actually about - not us.

The Protestant church was started when some of the Catholic church broke away do to disputes in the teaching that was taking place within the church. That is how the name got started, because they broke away and protested the apostate teaching !!!

From there for some reason the Catholic church tries to state that all denominations are Protestant just because they each point out some of the bad teachings of that church that do not align with the word of God.

Augustine was one of the first ones who started the apostasy as he was influenced by outside sources and started the eternal security doctrine in the 4th century. Where he stated that apostasy and falling away was impossible, which is contradictory to what the bible says.

From here the Romans corrupted the teachings of the Church (body of believers) and from within that the RCC was formed.

From the first 3 centuries there was no such thing as the Catholic church, and even in the 2nd century (101-200 AD) when the term catholic was first used to describe the Church. It was only used to explain its universal aspect that anybody no matter what race or nationality could be a Christian.
