It's a business shorthand, loosely based on sounds. When I was 13, my mother taught it in night school. So I sat in on the classes. Its biggest drawback is that you need to transpose it soon after writing it, or some of the marks might lose their meaning as they apply to the specific text that was dictated to you.

you're right, i'm only familiar with the drugs that came out before 1832.

So apparently i am missing all the fun back home. My college is locked down because a shooter is on the lose in my town. Last time something like this happened, i stood in the college parking lot talking to the teacher. But i have some friends with a couple little guys that have home aloned their house.....the one little guy even wanted to put gasoline in a water gun......lol

I don't hide things well.

When I play Hide and Seek with my daughter, I stand (hide myself) about 4 feet from her, in the middle of the room, with a blanket covering me.

After she's done counting she turns around and there I am.
Standing in the middle of the room with a blanket over me.

sydlit, no offense but ever since you joined here, you've done nothing but bemoan the wrongs that have been done to you. It seems that you're very bitter and unwilling to let go of all those hurts. Someone here asked if you've ever been married, which is a simple yes or no question.. But you come out with "I hope you're being sincere but how can I be sure about that." Please stop assuming that everyone has a hidden agenda when they ask you something, because they don't.. And until you give this hurt and anger and mistrust over to God, you're NOT going to be able to move on.. jmo
 
I was watching the news on TV last evening. Something gun-related kicked off in the US - I'm not sure where but some locals were being interviews and they all stated how gun crime has escalated and was getting out-of-hand. Could anyone enlighten me as to where this could have been and if the interviewees were accurate in what they said?
