Speaking of desserts...I just had a gluten-free brownie with goat's milk mint chip ice cream. ^.^ Not low carb....just really super tasty.

Sold so many cheesecakes. So.Many.Cheesecakes. Sold the bread by 12:30 and all of the rolls that I use for samples were sold an hour later after the bread was gone. People begging for bread. One woman drove 1.5 hours to buy two loaves. Isn't that amazing??
God is so unbelievably good to me. Well, to all of us, but I'm kinda astounded right now.
But I can't tell if my headache is because I'm tired, dehydrated or hungry. Probably all three. I'm gonna make some dinner and them nap, and then I'm gonna chat later, because there's often a good conversation in the evenings.

So, would it be considered unchristian of me to hope that every neighbor of mine setting off fireworks right now get the maximum penalty allowable by law? It's 10:30 pm and my neighborhood sounds like a war zone.
Colorado law permits "safe and sane" fireworks (some municipalities prohibit even them), but people drive 2.5 hours north to Wyoming to get "the good stuff".

So after warning my daughter not to touch the pan I had just taken out of the oven, I go ahead and touch it, burning my forefinger and thumb. *ouch*
Dinner was worth it though: pan roasted swordfish with a mustard tarragon sauce and asparagus.
While browsing the interwebs earlier this weekend, I noticed a music teacher position that looked interesting. I just got a promotion in my job, and I start my new position Monday, but this looks too promising. I'll be filling out the online app tomorrow.

I've been wanting to ask how the new position is going. Let us know next week when you've settled into it. But hey... you mentioned maybe being a little scared to go in a new direction, and maybe this new music teaching position is exactly what the Lord has for you. I'm praying for you about that. I am praying that your path becomes clear, and doors are opened where God intends for them to open. Exciting!

Both barbecues were pretty stinkin' awesome. Family and new friends and good food (without overdoing it! Even though someone brought these triple chocolate cookies...so good...just had one. That's will power right there). Watched some people blow up a watermelon with fireworks they weren't supposed to have. So glad I got to spend these few days with my husband and our little ones. God has given me a lot to be grateful for.

I am truly so blessed that you went and had fun and appreciated your family.... and blew up watermelons (though it is a waste of nice melon). I was lucky yesterday.. no fireworks going off during my bedtime.. Vermont does the 4th festivities on the 3rd. So while the fireworks went off on the 3rd, I just stayed up later and came on here..lol..

I want pie.
I found out the local everything-costs-one-dollar store has Edward (tm) key lime pies for a dollar. So I bought a 24-pack case. This resulted in developing a habit of eating a slice of pie when I get home from work. All well and (burp) good... until I ran out of pie slices. So now I have a pie habit and no pie to support it.
