Mrs. Berringer in high school Latin flashbacks.

same reason lead is PB....the latin is plubnum

and i have no idea what's happening, but i stopped in to say good night. :)

Silver is Ag and I know argent is French for silver. I guess Latin is Argentum.

I used to be a silver jeweller and then I went back to University to take science. It was fun learning the names of the elements, especially the metals I had worked with.

See I don't have problem with math you can actually work out an answer. My issue is the periodic table where Au means gold even though theirs neither an A or U in the spelling of G-o-l-d
I liked the periodic table, it was just memorization to me.....In chemistry, I loved having to rewrite the entire periodic table from memory...I may have added the weird ones for bonus points....

Good night all! I may have something new wrong with me. So I'm off to sulk in my room and read a book. Not sulking about here, about the pain over my ear that just keeps getting worse. My doc thought TMJ, but I have had that, and this is nothing like that. My rheumatologist told me to see a dentist. I understand that jaw issues are the most passed around ones - no one in any profession wants anything to do with them.

Just when the RA was getting under control, and I thought I was getting my life back. Sigh!

I can honestly say I have never heard this before and now this is one of the songs that stay in my head. It is actually a cool song to remember everything that is on the periodic table.

That reminds me that one of my instructors at school always played a cool video to remember Debits and Credits.

Rewriting the periodic table? Hmm not sure if I have the concentration for that. In highschool I had to memorize it but once I got to college it was provided. Not really sure how that works haha

Anyone remember any of the calculator tricks (working the four corners, and the criss-crosses) for the various basic geometry formulas?

There are slower ones, with catchier tunes.

I can remember getting SO confused with all the "b"s in the formula for the perimeter of a rhombus.

I used to love school house rock! I guess I was kind of a nerdy kid growing up. Oh well.
