That does sound awesome. I remember hearing my dad tell a story back when he was growing up and my grandma went out of town his sister made popcorn and green beans for dinner for a family of 7 kids and his dad.

that was their autumn fave. :)

we lived across the street from an apple orchard, and had been granted free access to it by the owners.

popcorn, apples and cheddar cheese.

those kids were cheap to feed. :)

I can actually remember being afraid of jello when I was a toddler because it "moved and jiggled". Wouldn't eat it. Funny how something that ancient sticks in your memory ... but it's true. I couldn't have been more than 3 yrs. old.

I had a friend growing up that lived near a fruit stand and whenever I would go to her house we were able to get whatever we wanted food wise and the owner made delicious apple cider. So delicious.
