Well then I guess every teenage boy with raging hormones is practicing evil. This is the exact kind of mindset that sends people to the dark reaches of separation because they feel so ashamed of what is in reality...,a very natural part of the human experience. Shaming people into isolation also causes sin to grow. Oh how does satan love to separate us thru the torment of shame and then eat away at us piece by piece.
You think this is confined to boys only? Satan has used sex since the garden to alienate people and deceive them...

Gen 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Now this is referring to something that God says is...

Gen 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

This includes sex.

Yeah, and if you tell them not to jump off a cliff they will jump? What are you going to do, tell the TO jump?
Here is what happened to someone who believed in moral pollution and what would be considered practising anything disgusting. He would also have believed such moral pollution would condemn him:

for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.[SUP]8 [/SUP]But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. Rom 7:7&8

If you preached the above words to a group of young Christian teenagers, the likelihood is they would end up doing the very thing you are warning against them doing.
Naturally rebellious are you?

Am i reading this right?, forgive me if i think you are saying that masturbation is a natural clean act?, on that note so too is homosexuality, bi-sexuality, transgender etc, so anything goes in the Bible?, sounds very secular to me, i think the young one's and all should be taught what is clean and holy and acceptable in God's eyes, or am i way off base here?.
I can find no where in the bible that says masterbation is a sin. If the heart behind it is one of lust then it's a foregone conclusion.

A lobotomy would be the only answer.
And, don't you think, for a second, that tens of thousands of physical, electrical, and chemical lobotomies have not been performed, and are still being performed by the misdirected schools of thought.

Oh, I see, then it is better to NOT tell someone what is right and wrong?

OK, seems to me that there was one in the garden confusing this issue also.

Well if the Bible tells you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart, then how unclean is masturbation?

Such a person has not given their entire life to Christ. Also, using male pronouns when refer to mankind in general is common practice, in many languages.
Spoken like a man whose sons would be blessed to call him, Dad.

Wading quickly through this turbulent river of discussion, there is a lot of awesome wisdom to be found throughout. Unfortunately it's so mixed in with a variety of other goofy viewpoints that it burdens my heart for any young people coming in here seeking insight. :(

That is one of the reason why the women covered themselves from head to toe. But we can't make women cover their whole bodies, especially in the hot summer's days and nights. I noticed that the Bush people of Africa doesn't get aroused while the women of the tribe walks around naked; maybe they have gotten so use of seeing naked bodies that it doesn't seem such a big deal. I remember that there were a time that men has gotten aroused when the women exposing only their ankles. How far we has grown from that.

A lot of us here should be ashamed to be bantering and blustering around, trying to put one another down when, for our sons and many grown men, this is a very real situation we should face like men of God, looking to join in the battle and help.

Yeah i don't think adam and eve had a problem with nakedness until of course they ate the fruit from the tree of the knowldge of good and bad of which God commanded them not to eat.

In reality the "act" of masturbation becomes an incessant habit when shame is used to combat it. I would rather talk with my boys about it then tell them that they should be ashamed of a natural urge....yes, it is a NATURAL urge.

Additionally....any sin is a natural expression of long cherished associations of thought. Whether it be murder, lust, greed, envy etc.

*edit*.....Personal holyness is also the inevitable outcome of long cherished associations of thought.
Teaching kids HOW to think and do and WHAT to think do is more effective than what they SHOULDN'T think or do.

It is more successful to walk with a person who has these issues and lift them up and support them rather than standing there and telling them to stop doing it. Understanding is required.

Very true brother. There is nothing wrong with bringing these issues out into the open where they can be constructively talked about. Not to chase anyone away. God tells us when we see someone in need of help, its our responsibility to help and advise them according to scripture. Since God has written the blueprint as to how we are to conduct ourselves, He is the foundation for Christian conduct.
