oldhermit, my family is from mexico. moved to the states in 1980. and then i made the family perfect 3 years later. lol
i have 3 sisters and mom worked full time, but still managed to get a hot meal on the table
every. single. night. amazing, without microwaves and processed foods.
dinner was usually lots of fun. we'd play word games and make jokes and after dinner, dad would stick his fork into serving dishes and grab another bite.
when we girls told him that was against the rules, he gave us the old, do as i say, not as i do biz.
classic dad.
My mom had six of us and dinner was always on the table as well with no microwaves or anything .. lol! My fave memories are the food fights between my one brother and I .. we were constantly threatened with the wooden spoon!
well, random facts about melita:
1. i like penguins.
2. i don't like clowns.
3. i hate peas.
4. i'm the first in my family to be born in the states.
and... idk what else to say
Do you like puffins? They are like little penguins. I think that frozen peas are acceptable but canned peas should be avoided. I don't care for clowns as I find them depressing.

another random fact: i started playing the violin when i was 6 yrs old.
there's actually a video on the internet(s) of me playing the violin on my 7th birthday. it was on a sunday that year and i played a song at an outdoor church service we had. but... i won't tell you where the vid is ^_^

What kind of Penguins? Them ANIMALS down in Antarctica, or Penguin Books...or...(just say no)...the Pittsburgh Penguins...???
