A woman as a Pastor? Does it make it right if there is a need for pastors?

Not that I feel I need to explain myself but pointing out how you come across....Do you really think the sex of a pastor has any baring on ability? If you do then refer to my previous posts.

Your previous posts in this thread, where you emotionally argue, bordering on accusing, against people who hold to the biblical position on the matter proves only your ignorance. Your attempt of making fun of others doesn't really make the bad better either. Seeing this I guess it's quite meaningless to continue communicate with you.

"Making fun"? Where?

It's all open to interpretation isn't it? There have been countless posts in answer to your "Biblical" truth so I won't go over all that again but you won't listen because you are only interested in your own views. You have a set-in-stone view that women have no place teaching men regardless of their talents. I don't need to elaborate on how this makes you look - you do it very well yourself.

Whether or not you choose to communicate with me is irrelevant.

Really? Yer tryin' to say my understanding of your definition is wrong? Friend, you need to look at all of the ramifications of your doctrine, because the details mean exactly what I said jokingly. They must bow in submission to all church men according to your doctrine, because you say no woman can usurp authority over any man in the church. Then it means the opposite is true. Any church man can, if the scripture is speaking about the church in general.....now, could it really be speaking about authority in the marriage relationship?
 
You know the RCC has taught this men only in ministry for hundreds of years not because they wanted to honor God or His word but so they could have their lust for other men and maintain power. Same with the Mormons they wanted power and to fulfill their perverted lust. I question the motives of some of these guys who are so unwilling to look at this issue in an honest way?

I'd be lying if I said that I haven't considered as much. It would be near impossible not to at least consider this if one were to spend even a minimal amount of effort looking into the matter. But most won't. Frankly speaking, the culprit is male pride imo. It's fine and good to learn from a studied and astute Godly woman ... but only if she understands that she has not been ordained of God ?? :confused:
 
You know I have had several groups offer me a "ordination" I accepted some of these because it helps me get into the prisons and other places where men hold these things of value. But if I hear God say "well done my good and faithful servant" or if in some way He records me as a minster in His book if Life ...then I have an eternal reward. Deborah has something that puts her above every man alive today. The harlot at the Lords feet will forever be honored in heaven. I say as a true minster of God ordained by God that if God calls no man or woman should resist but make your calling sure before God .

I haven't listened to all Meyer teaches,only read certain things,I'm sure I may not agree with all she teaches either.But here is some food for thought on the subject...Could these verses have been mistranslated? Too much info to copy/paste but he made some very good points.Maybe women have been forbidden from ministry all these years for no reason at all.Please at least give the link a brief look.

You are actually lying now. Had you said the male ego was a factor in the motivation of some men you may have been correct. My motivation is to follow the bible as God desires.
Which means that your statement is plainly false.
 
I would also add that any woman who feels called is going to have to deal with the truth of some of those scriptures... Also anyone who thinks I am trying to please women need to read some of my other post on other issue... I cannot be charged with that. Lol.

IMO .... means IN MY OPINION Phil. Interesting that you differentiate between the male ego ... and male pride. Annnnyways .............. :) Or ... it should be evident and obvious that my remark was aimed to those concerned. I'm rushing here ... on my way to work.

I sang and traveled in ministry for some 20 yrs.It was a family group,with my father being the lead.He did most of the speaking and preaching.But there were times,not many,but times when I expressly heard the Lord telling me to speak.There were men and women,in a church service setting.Should I have been silent? Why didn't God give the message to my father,a man,instead? I've shared before how in one service we were doing on New Years eve I felt to speak.People were more concerned about the food to be served and were talking and drinking coffee,not paying attention at all to the singing and preaching.It hit me wrong and I felt to speak,and I did.I said that we came to church to be changed,if we leave the way we came then why not just go to a country club? Why come to church at all? People were bearing burdens we knew nothing of and they hide them with a smile and go home from church the same as they came.The mood sobered and people quieted and paid attention. When a break came people headed straight for the food. As I headed to the back of the church my mother grabbed my arm and pulled me toward several women of the church. "She wants to talk to you" she said and there I saw a woman sobbing.She said the message I gave was for her.Her husband had come home during Christmas and said he didn't love her anymore.He was moving in his lover and he gave her a time to get out.She had never worked,but was a stay at home mom.She was devastated.More women of the church gathered and prayed and cried with her,the food forgotten.

So here's my point,was I wrong to speak in the assembly? Should I have been silent and submissive? The Lord clearly gave me those words,it was certainly not of myself.How could I know the woman needed deliverance? Should I not say what the Lord lays on my heart? If you say "no,of course not"! then what of women who believe the Lord has called them into ministry?I think people need to further study the translation of these verses and go a little deeper.



Not to you Mitspa but to others who are making the argument women are to be silent and submissive.

It will save you a lot of head banging,trust me.No matter what point you make he comes out of left field with loads of information that has nothing to do with the subject at hand then gets mad when you point out he may be wrong.He will then tell you you're sinful and going to hell because you disagree with his point.You know,same old same old.lol
