Not what goes into a man yet Paul mentioned this
Acts 15:29
That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
I wonder Why![]()
fornication = that one is clear. Paul might be coming from his Pharisaical mindset, as he is used to restraint but Gentiles arent in general because they come from pagan or atheistic background
strangled = cruelty
meats offered to idols = occassion to stumble, Paul speaks of this also elsewhere where he warns of this, although we have freedom
blood = again cruelty. blood means that something had to die. how can anyone rejoice in drinking blood?
If an animal has to die for me to eat, I will kill it, but not murder it (blood, strangling). I believe this is where the verse is coming from. Hope this helped.
