Quick story from today at work...

I am blessed to have a co worker at work that I can pray with. Towards the end of the shift she pulls me to the side and asks for prayer.

We have a patient who is actively dying (meaning she can hear but is no longer responding and is being medicated for comfort only), cognitively she has not been there for a long time and the nurse asked her family if she was christian. Her family is Christian, but they state she grew up Lutheran and as far as they were aware she no longer was a strong follower of Christ. Well, bless her heart, my co worker tells the patient something to the extent of, "I love you and I can't wait to see you in heaven." Then she left the room, and in less than three minutes, the patient's son comes out to find her and tells her, "She's crying. Tears are falling from her eyes." And if you know this patient, she rarely ever cries. It was evident that the nurse's loving words touched her heart.

My co worker had pulled me to the side for prayer in terms of further discernment in what to do in this situation as we are unsure if she is saved.

I love you little miss. Hope to see your beautiful face and hear your cute voice in heaven. <3

Just got the weirdest pm today from someone who read a post I made a while back on 'marital discipline'. She wanted to convince me that she believes it's biblical for a husband to spank his wife when she's being 'unruly'.

*sigh*

Alrighty, then.
Oh, no! I remember that 'interesting' thread.

Went kayaking today. It was actually allot of fun, which was different than what I expected. I've always been super paranoid/scared about large bodies of water, especially on something so small as a kayak (being on a boat in general is always a little frightening to me).
And yet, nailing your feet to a plank of wood and flying down a mountain side is no cause for alarm. :p

Sometimes I wonder where I will be when I take the deep breath before the plunge.
When the vail will be lifted.
There will be a straight red line as bright as blood, running through all the confusion, lies and false teachings to Pure Truth.
All else will fall away into shadow.

Lonely moments feel a lot more potenent when distractions cease or fail to suppress your isolation, feelings, memories, and all else the like. It can be ironic how shows you watch feed and worsen it. The there's the fact my PC wigged OT and I may have lost everything on it. Oh well... Anyway..

It has been great seeing y'all again, but I agree with a wise man who said he thought I needed more of a break from the Internet than I have had so far. Some of the things I'm dealing with right now have caused me to become less patient with others and more plain spoken than I prefer. :)

Will be praying for you all and reading your posts from time to time. Blessings! :)

Jullianna, you lil dickens you. Did the wise man happen to let you in on how staying on or being off the internet was going to change YOU?

I vote you stay :) You're worth a little more than that flimsy reason.

I hope you're not leaving on account of me.

You don't have to feel any condemnation for what you say/said. You have every right to express your opinions and post your feelings. . ( who's this wise guy? I hope you check his credentials)

Jesus never condemned us and gave us a Spirit of love and power. The internet can be cathartic for some. Don't let petty things bring you down.

If you enjoy the company of friends here, you enliven the conversation and help them, then continue to bless them with your online presence.

Don't mind me.

Anyway, I don't really hang around here that often ;)

Literally bumped into my ex-bf at church tonight -.- I said a small awkward, uh sorry about that, and walked away.
Then he thought, 'hey, I should go make small talk with her and tell her how great my life is and ask her about her life' and came up to be just before church started and asked what was new.

I said 'not much'. *turned back to pamphlet* 'oh i just came back from Vancouver, it was SO awesome!' 'oh yeah, thats good.' *turned back to pamphlet* 'are you still working at N____?' 'no i changed work homes now' *looks back at pamphlet...ugh leave me alone* 'what else is new?' 'not much else' *turns back at that handy dandy pamphlet* 'Welp, it was nice to see you' *Walk away and sits down*

Well it sure as H wasn't nice to see YOU. Don't come up to me and tell me how great your life is, I know you have a GF now, I don't want to know about your life- I told you that a long time ago. Especially since that way you have treated me during the course of our relationship. Probably just another way he's trying to manipulate me.

Spent the rest of the service trying to focus my attention back on God.

No, Rachel, it is not because of you. Truly. :) I respect your boldness tremendously. It is completely because of me. I (and someone who is dear to me, who has been helping me a great deal) am concerned that I will become more involved than I am prepared to handle right now because of some things I am going through personally. That's all. :)

I do not feel the need to defend my life or my beliefs to anyone. I hope no one else feels that way either, as none of us should be seeking to please anyone other than the Lord..submitting ourselves to Him in order to bring about the healing, changes and growth He knows we all need, some of us more than others. :)

I have missed you all very much, but I do not want to be online as much as I was before. I also want to keep my stress levels as low as possible during my healing process. I tried to stick with the lighter/non-controversial threads (in spite of the fact that I'm drawn to those that challenge me :) ); but, surprisingly some things turned out to be more controversial than I could anticipate. :) That was an exercise in poor judgment on my part, and I do apologize for that. :)

I love you all and I pray for all of you, mostly that you will continue to dive under the rope into the deeper end of the pool as you do. The greater the challenge, the greater the growth, the greater the purpose, the greater the love to be shared.
