We are given free will to do whatever we please. The first miracle that Jesus performed at the request of His mother was to turn water into wine. That is a biblical fact. God does not lead anyone into temptation. There was a party going on. I am surmising here as it was not written, that those that woke with hangovers probably did not blame Jesus for the pounding in the side of their heads. There is a time and a place for everything.
Jesus turned water into unfermented wine and not fermented wine.

It is sad when people put the blame on others instead of themselves where it truly belongs.
It is even sadder when that is God or our Lord Jesus they put that blame on.
When ever you commit a sin do you blame God ?
If not why blame the Lord our God for some one who sins by getting drunk off wine. The sin falls on the one who does it.
God made us, do we as human abuse our lives...YES....do you blame God for making us....I hope not.
There was no actual indication that they were intoxicated and or that they drank alcoholic wine. The dictionary defines wine as either unfermented (grape juice) or fermented wine (alcoholic wine).
Your not getting it. God does not tempt us into sinning. God might test us, but he never tempts us. For when we are tempted, we are drawn away by our own lusts and desires. In other words, the people at the wedding were said to be "well drunk." If this was alcoholic wine then Jesus just made everyone drunk at the wedding which would be a direct violation of many other verses in the New Testament (Which condemns drunkenness and or not remaing sober). This public display of getting drunk would be God's stamp of approval upon every drunk to justify his sin of drunkenness. Which would be wrong.
If it was not wine that Jesus changed from water then the bible must also have other lie and is not spiritually inspired by God. What is wrong with having a little fun once in awhile. I no longer drink myself but I would certainly condemn anyone for having an occasional drink or even, on special occasions, get a little wasted. Providing of course, that there was a designated driver.

Your right He does not tempt us, but He does test us.
Wrong the scriptures say they were well drunk before He turned the water to wine, so He did not make them that way they were already that way.
Plus once again saying Jesus made them drunk, exactly shows what I said you are doing. Putting the blame on Jesus.
The Lord our God can do what ever He wills to do. If you for example were one of those at the wedding and you drank the wine to get drunk. You are at fault for sinning. If you drank just a glass or two ( being alcoholic ) you would not be in the wrong.
A glass of wine ( alcohol ) a day has beneficial health uses. If it controls your life, and you can not do with out it then it is sin. So by Jesus making alcoholic wine once again would not be wrong. The one/s who would be wrong are the ones who used it for the wrong purpose.
He does not tempt us, because the temptations are already in us. It is up to us with the help of the Holy Spirit to resist those temptations.
What most people will believe here is that I think drinking soberly and moderately in private is a sin. This is simply not true. I believe we have a liberty in Christ, but we are not to let our good be evil spoken of. I also believe it is important to speak against the dangers of alcohol and how it is accurately presented within the Scriptures. Those who like their drink and or who get drunk will not like that type of message.
I don't believe that I can. I only know that in the bible it was written that Jesus turned water into wine as His first recorded miracle. His mom asked Him to do this. I do not condone drunken behavior. I don't believe that the bible mentioned if any of the wedding guest were drunk but I am sure that they were at least very tipsy in the celebration of the wedding party.
Yes, they were "well drunk" before Jesus gave them his wine. If "well drunk" is alcoholic in your view: Then Jesus would in effect have given them more alcoholic wine, to compound their sin of drunkeness. In other words, it would be like a man going to a strip club and then bringing even more beautiful strippers so as to increase their sin. Such a thing would be wrong.
What is the next level up from being very tipsy?
Would you classify somebody as being very tipsy as being sober minded as the Scriptures tell us to be?
Why would Jesus contribute to them going beyond being very tipsy in attempt to get them potentially drunk?

I really do not know. Jesus turning water into wine is a biblical fact. This may not have been His original intent upon arriving at the wedding reception. His mother asked Him to do this. He was honoring His mother. That is obvious also.

I am sorry but your argument makes no sense in light of clearly written scripture. I believe that you mean well and your points of view were considered before each response of mine. I have nothing further to add. Peace to you.
No, as I said before, God does not tempt any man but he is drawn away and enticed by his own lusts and desires. But if a person is already being sinful, God contributing to that sin with a miracle that would lead them further into sin is just wrong. For if they were "well drunk" with alcoholic wine, then they were drunk or very close to it; Therefore, if Jesus gave them more alcoholic wine, he would have place them into a state of drunkenness or a deeper level of ignoring one in being sober (As the Scriptures state). In other words, Jesus' miracle was not a test for them to refuse in drinking any more alcohol. It was a miracle that glorified the coming of the New Testament with the shedding of His blood. It was water turned into unfermented wine.

We as Christians must learn to stop focusing just on the negatives of things, and start talking to people how stuff should correctly be used.

If I am drinking two bottles a day, or 6 to 12 bears a day and getting drunk then I am in sin.
