Yay! Does this mean you'll be back in chat soon?
It does!

I don't know about tonight. I have a gig that I don't really want to do, but am kind of obligated to do. It's up in Auburn, a mountain/high foothills town. Very quaint and has been known to be an escape destination for the occasional celebrity.

I have a friend who once saw a woman there that he recognized as Susan Sarandon.
He commented on how he loved Rocky Horror and Dead Man Walking.
The woman got kind of annoyed at him and told him that she was Leslie Ann Warren.

In his defense, they kind of DO look alike!

Setting standards is very good. But the thing is the friends keeping those standards. Otherwise it does not really matter. In fact, I just lost my gf and good friend because she did not hold to what she said she would do.

I'm sorry to hear that. Sometimes people will say things and then do the complete opposite. Words are usually empty unless action is taken to fill them with any meaning of what they said.

Setting standards would really have one know what they will tolerate or not tolerate when meeting and getting to know people. Same can go for the people already in your life. Humans are not perfect but there's a line set as to what you can take from them since people won't always realize that they've done something that hurts the next person's feelings or whatever. Then there's either repeated events where they know it offends you after you told them to stop and they won't or they simply want an one side thing where it suppresses and has the person not consider about what your needs and says are while giving theirs, expecting you to be some type of mentor rather than a friend... I've been having a problem when it comes to just that. People who do just that probably never really considered you as their friend to begin with, because friends would also know that while they receive they should also give.

I just read a post that made me do that dog face head turn, not out of confusion, but more like, did he really say that? Yes, he did, he said it.

I do that when I reread some of mine.

I had the opportunity to get out of the house for a few hours...my mom came over and offered to babysit for the evening so I could have some time to myself.

I wasn't really feeling the whole 'alone' thing, though. I wanted to go out for dinner, and I wanted good company.

So I left my daughter with my mom, and me and my son went to Village Inn and colored on the kids' menu and ate chicken strips and salad and shared a milkshake (last one for me for a while). And that kid was sooo curious about everything...we spent the whole time discussing the fly in the window, why waiters are called waiters, why the light fixture was orange...endless questions.

It was the best evening out I've had in a long time.

I went to a bonfire our men's ministry had last night. Along with having fellowship with the guys from the church, about twenty mosquitos decided they wanted to fellowship with me also.

Talking to my boss on the phone tonight and when she said goodbye, I replied automatically with "I love you". It was EXTREMELY awkward.

Yeesh, what is it with the cliff hangers around here? First Aimee, now you. :p Kidding, kidding :D

Seriously, though. I really am curious on what's made you so excited??
Haha im sorry! I know cliffhangers are awful and I didn't mean to be such a tease. :p I just wanted to express how stinkin' excited I am without going too much into detail...yet.

Lets just say that some of the confusing immigration-related uncertainties facing my boyfriend are finally starting to clear up. This means that our long-term plans can finally start to get into motion.

Thats all for now...but I promise to eventually return with more details.

Good things are haaaaaaaappening!
