Baptized does not say not in water" poor reasoning"
Nor in water, yet the word says from John that there is one that comes after me, he will Baptize you with _______________ you fill in the blank
And so today after the resurrected Christ and ascension, with the delivery of Pentecost, what are we to be Baptized with?
Water or Holy Spirit of truth form Father through Son

One Faith, One Lord, One Baptism

So which one saves? Which one was to decrease and what was to increase?
I am not against anyone being water Baptized, And it is to be a good conscience before God, not necessarily mankind?
Chew on this steak, and please do not choke on it, with all man's good works, that man does because of his being good afterwards. When only Father to this day is the only one good ever.
We are participators in this amazing salvation through Son to us, we, who can not be perfect, Christ made us perfect before Father to get new life in Father, in Spirit and truth via the resurrected Christ, and through his death we see our death and thus see new life in Spirit and truth form Father
Thank you Father, for I know you will reveal to who you decide to reveal this truth to, and make them one with you as we are one now with you, thanks to Son, Thank you Jesus

Re: Is Man's Will Your Idol?

Clay submits.

Sheep sometimes disobey, but they never stop being sheep. And Christ's sheep have eternal life & they shall never perish.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.
Are you saying the disobedient is obeying Christ? Was Christ ever disobedient? Because his sheep follow him. So when do you disobey is your sometime all the time? You think you have God backed in a corner where you can do as you please and he has to give you eternal life because you say you believe. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.[h=3]John 10:14-15[/h]New International Version (NIV)

[SUP]14 [/SUP]“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— [SUP]15 [/SUP]just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.(Jesus was obedient unto death)

[h=3]John 10:26-28[/h]New International Version (NIV)
[SUP]26 [/SUP]but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. [SUP]27 [/SUP]My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. [SUP]28 [/SUP]I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

His sheep believe , listens and follow....that is how he knows them....not sometimes disobey, that is lukewarm

You don't have to tell them not to ,all you have to do is make it seem pointless...remember satan in the garden...you will not surly die if you eat.
do you remember this quote?
And all were and are born dead afterward as God's dead in Adam since?
Christ came to reverse that operation to give new life in Spirit and truth. How can the dead live
2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
1 Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Who does the work? So

2 Corinthians 1:12 For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.
2 Corinthians 2:4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.
2 Corinthians 12:15 And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.

It is God that does the work through us the vessel, as like in the day of Pentecost. Are we to get the credit for what we do as good works? Are those disciples to get credit for what they did?
By whose authority?
Now if you got the best gift you could ever get, what would that be, Think wisely please
What is the best give you want?

Re: If Faith is a Gift from God, Why Would He Take It Away?

Now consider that an Adamic man, never born again, is described in lurid depraved detail in Romans 1-3. That man is not seeking God. That man is not righteous. All his righteousnesses are as filthy rags.

Then if the Lord gives that man the gift of faith/belief, so that he acts on John 3:16, believing and receiving eternal life, why would the Lord somehow send that guy to the Lake of Fire after being born again, and getting a new nature, whereby old things have passed away, and all is new (2 Cor 5)?

"in nothing affrighted by the adversaries: which is for them an evident token of perdition, but of your salvation, and that from God; because to you it has been granted in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer in his behalf:" < Philip 1

"For while we were yet weak, in due season
Christ died for the ungodly.
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: for peradventure for the good man some one would even dare to die.
But God commends His own love toward us, in that,
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Much more then,
being now justified
by his blood,
we shall be saved from the wrath
of God through him.
For if,
while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son,
much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life"

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish.

Brother is that tooooooooooo simple, it is a mystery is it not? I mean to say I have been taught from birth on to behave, and get blessings form behaving if I am good, God will bless me
When in truth people that play God will, if by their sight they think I am good. So I better get to work to get that good job and that beautiful wife and have beautiful kids

And so being taught to be good when not one can, yet can act it out as if and get pats on the back as if we are doing good when inside we know we are not
What a Matrix

So as the Devil tempted Christ and said bow down and worship me and I will give you the city in all its glamor
And Christ refused, and we take on the gloss and act as if we are good, we believe, we are good and steal, kill and destroy others to get ahead of others, in business, stepping on others to climb that business ladder
In essence we are taking God in vain for our own gain, today time to plead Mercy and hopefully get it from God through Christ and stop the taking this amazing salvation for granted

Hebrews 2:3 how shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

God does love us all this deep to have done what God has done through Son for us. Time to appreciate and go to God for the Mercy he has for you and me and all that will come to the end of the energy of their own good works , masquerading as if they are God's when they know they are not, that they are of themselves thinking God as a vending machine, if only I am good enough, well here is reality we are not and never can be, give up and ask God to take the steering wheel and be at rest in adversity here on earth.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Learn to be content in all things from God, and trust and say thank you in all things to God and mean it from you to God.
I am as Paul troubled on all sides, yet content knowing God will not ever forsake me
Do you all know this yet?

Re: Do Not Reject Eternal Security by Worshipping Man's Will

But what If I get angry at God and reject His working through me and fellow brothers come and try to talk to me and I reject them as well. Will God respect my will or override it?
God Kerry will still work with you, pleading with you, talking to you, and not condemn you, chase after you, let you go if you so want to be let go

How can anyone let go of this kind of Love if they see it, Brother and God is faithful to show it. I know it, I've seen it, and it is amazing
A person I knew back 14 years ago, did this, yet was a nice person and messed up in drugs, sex, and Alcohol, with all the trimmings. Was told about Christ, was raised in Church about Christ and just went her marry ole way. I prayed for her, others prayed for her, and I as well as others agreed, we have prayed for her and God has heard us, so we let it go.

Recently about two months ago now, I get to see God's Faithfulness
I am driving down the road and hear Go to the place you used to work back in the 90's. I being perplexed, start to ? this and hear it again, go.
So I do, and it is on a Friday, I show up there, and looking for anyone that used to work there, if anyone does still work there.
And only one still there, and she is called down to the office and we hug, big time, and she says to me, God just answered her prayer about to get water Baptized, hearing how she is not perfect and now believes, when before she just shrugged it off. I rejoice and go and watch her get water Baptized that very Sunday.
We have had conversations afterwards, that have just floored nme with the love that God is permeating through her, onto all otrhers. The first love, wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Brother God is Fatihful prooven to me, no doubt
For say your prayer only once and beleive God, do not pray overe and over a sthe heathen do and especially in public, for theyt will getr rewarded by the pwople, and not necessarily from God
Go in private and pray once in belief and stand in this belief, and Brother do not ask amiss to spend it on our pleasures, how can one expect God to that?
Satanm does and is why our warfare is Spiritual, for the enemy comes to us as an angel of light and gets one, then another, then another to try to be a goody two shoes and even helps one be so they can be all prud and boastful and not see this, as others do and then this enemy that appears as an angel of light goes to work on them as well

And God says come out of this world and all it gloss, my people
God is Faithful and God has brought here out, and there is no escaping waht God does
For nothing can separate you, me and all that believe God from God's love to you, me and all through Son Christ can anyone
For to say I can walk away puts trust in Human flesh above God's amazing Love to all
OSAS in this is truth Brother. Now if I get boastful or proud over this, then I would bne walking in my flesh would I not and need what?
To be buffeted as in 2 Cor 12:7-10? to be what humbled?

Brother if you do not see and believe god is Faithful to keep you, i know of nothing else to tell you and just trust God. Mankind even ourselves can't be trusted and need to:
2 Corinthians 10:5 casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

And Christ walked by Faith in Father to do in him and through him did he not, even unto his death

seriously, if Chirst made the choice and did noit walk by Faith, do you think he would have gone through with it?
Matthew 26:39 He went forward a little, and fell face downward on the ground, and prayed, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup be taken away from me. But I want your will, not mine.”

We are in troubles and conflicts, can we pray the same in trust, whether bad or good is happening in front of us, God knows what is best, does God not?
So go ahead walk away Brother if you can. If you can then I see you were never God's to begin with, yet God will come after you to plead with you, because God just love you and all

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, Ricky.

What is there to argue about; just do it.
all the second guessing does have doubt, and by doubt, even an inkling causes one to fall short Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Luke 7:50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

She did not have a doubt one smidgeon not one, and what go in peace
So I see if I am not at peace then I must have a doubt mixed in with what I say that I believe and doubt besets one from truth and is not free are we
If one has the peace beyond understanding and Quietness, then one is righteous with Father through Son, confirmed in Spirt and truth by the Holy Spirit.
this is what no flesh carnal nature can fathom, need the Spirit of God to see, and this is at the resurrected Christ, through the death of first

It is not pointless to be water baptized. It is a way of telling the world that you believe the Lord Jesus died and rose again. It can be a way of testifying that you believe you died and rose with Him. Anything that glorifies the Lord Jesus is important.

But don't start trusting in a ritual performance for salvation. Salvation is not by any human work.

So what are you telling them, NewB?: "You shall not surely have eternal life if you believe." Sure, you get a chance, but it is not surely."

"You get a chance, but you have to dance."

Thou shalt call His name Jesus,
for He shall save His people from their sins.
You know if I am going to dance, I think dancing on thin ice is wise, for the world hated Christ and still does, yet could not stop the spreading that is still on today. So it took on the gloss and formed to act as if this world believes so the people would come to Church, even if the priests did not believe, just say you do and the people will come
Constantine, said this to his Pagan priests, just say you beleive and act it out, be good to them and you will be their leaders
So this whole world has taken on the gloss, and is acting out to be the leaders.
When Christ is my high Priest forever in the order of Melchizedek. And Hebrews 8 what does it state?
Think deep Brothers, includes Sisters, for we are one in Spirit to all who are baptized in Spirit and truth by Father

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

So please be careful and praying no one has to be delivered, to be saved, but if do, so be it
1 Corinthians 5:5 to deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
Love you all, for God loved me and you all first, I respond now used to create, and when I found out I am not thhe creator, I humbled me unto the Lord and asked for his Mercy and Father gave me this through Son
Thank you Jesus as you keep bringing in the sheep and keep rejoicing at the lost sheep that are found
Wow this Salvation is so big and miraculous, how can anyone walk away?
I guess it might be because of why they go to Church for what reason? To get a good Job, to find a wife or husband, to be friends and miss God, wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! motive and humility are keys to the Kingdom from where I am seeing today

It's your assumption that I don't that I have a problem with.
That Brother is between God and you alone For God knows God's sheep, and we the sheep hear his voice and sit when Father says sit, we are under Father's lead. And if we do not listen, Does Father disown us?
I think not. Father will just love us, and if that doesn't turn us, then nothing will
[h=3]Romans 2[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

2 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. [SUP]2 [/SUP]But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. [SUP]3 [/SUP]And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? [SUP]4 [/SUP]Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Matthew 10:14 "Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet.

I've given up, he will never see the truth. Satan has blinded him.
Praying for us all, knowing God is faithful and will do this for all, that are God's

Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

Some thought to think on for us all as prayerfully to stop separation the keeps trying to happen, this excerpt is from Basic Gospel :: Home, used to be realanswers.net, known as people to people ministries and saw to share, and hopefully we not to argue one against another and learn top just love all

Most of us are familiar with Ephesians 2:8-10. This is the passage quoted most often to affirm that salvation is a free gift, not something that can be earned through human effort. Here is the passage:

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Most of us stop with verse 9. When we do, we miss the full impact of God’s purpose in saving us by grace. According to verse 10, this gospel message extends well beyond that moment when we cross over from death to life. Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection ushers us into a new way of life altogether, one characterized by good works.
These good works have been prepared for us beforehand by God. And as a new creature in Christ, we are to walk in them. But how do we know what they are?
In one of their many conversations with the Lord, the disciples asked Jesus this: “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” (John 6:28)
Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent” (John 6:29).
Paul echoes this truth in Colossians 2:6: “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him.” This new life that we have been raised to live is a life of faith. But this still begs the question concerning good works. Isn’t there something that God wants us to do other than merely trust Him?
In a word, no. We are His workmanship. What counts as far as God is concerned is faith in Jesus. As we trust Him and our hearts respond to the leading of His Spirit in us, we will see the good works He has prepared for us begin to flow through us. And they will be recognizable.
Here is how. First, God gives us new desires. Paul calls them the desires of the Spirit. According to the terms of the New Covenant, these desires equate to the laws God puts into our minds and writes on our hearts. They flow from God’s love and are different, night and day, from the desires of the flesh.
Forgiveness is one of those desires God’s Spirit works in us. It is not normal, humanly speaking, to want to forgive someone who has hurt us deeply. But as children of God, forgiveness of others is a work God has prepared for us to walk in. We know it because God places that desire to forgive in us.
Next, the results of walking in those desires, living them out, can be attributed only to God. We can never be sure how someone will respond. Our imaginations are quick to jump to the negative possibilities, but God always has a better outcome in mind.
Calling up all the courage that we can, we step out in faith and extend forgiveness. What we first experience happens inside. Extending forgiveness calms the soul, brings peace to the heart and turns an anxious moment into one that surpasses understanding.

And then we see God’s work within the relationship. Maybe not instantly, but over time, it becomes clearer to us just how He is working what was a painful situation together for good. Couples on the verge of divorce have testified to the power of forgiveness in restoring their marriage. Assemblies of believers that were divided have come back together as they have walked in the forgiveness of God.
What happens both within and without is far too extraordinary to attribute to human effort. We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. Let’s walk in them.

Yahoooo!! it don't matter if I sin, cause I was baptized when I was 6 years old. Thank you God ( while I'm cheating on my wife ). Never knew it was so good. I am secure.
I know you know, yet have to say, thank you for putting up with me Brother

That Kerry would be ignoring God and not loving neighbor (wife) as God has loved us all by the cross. That is taking grace for granted and using Christ as an escape Goat.
God Forbid, i know you know and where being infectious in Humor. so waht does the word say about this

Hebrews 2:3 how shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
Hebrews 10:28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Does this mean we are to do the Law? Or are we to get in deeper trust for God to love through us to all, as in 1 Cor. 13:4-7?
Whether you like it or not, Kerry is right. That is the end result. You guys ignore all references to water baptism and try to force Holy Spirit baptism into a scripture when it is not there. Is that not ignoring God? You're following your own formula instead the New Testament. Holy Spirit baptism was only given twice. Once to the apostles and a second time through the house of Cornelius. It was never promised for Christians today. He is the only one that can administer it.

on the contrary.

Your trying to replace HS baptism (the baptism performed by the hands of God) with the baptism of men (performed by the hands of men). This according to Jesus is blasphemy, (trying to credit the work of God with the work of some other created being)

no, what's blasphemy is you're blatant ignoring of Christ's command GIVEN TO MEN when He issued the great commission.

No. I follow the great commission.

I go make disciples of men. And when I have made a new disciple. I either baptize them or at the least, make sure they get baptized.

But thay have to be saved first. or that water baptism means nothing. And we are saved by Faith alone. not of works (water baotism is a work) lest anyone should boast.

If you want to boast of earning your salvation by your work of baptism. feel free.

I will boast of God. Who baptized me. For only HE CAN CLEANSE ME. All i can do is get myself wet.

then if water baptism is a mere ritual, why do you perform it at all? Baptism is for the remission of sins, Acts :2:38. No, when I obey Christ's commands I do not consider that earning my salvation. What makes that so hard for you to grasp.?
