You know what's dumb? Having to get up and leave your house to go to the grocery store. Having to go out and purchase like, food and stuff...totally ridiculous.

In other news....
Ever find yourself in the middle of a situation that you never, not in a million years, could have seen coming, would never have even imagined until it actually happened, only to find out that it's sort of really something that you've been missing your entire life without ever knowing that's what you were missing? Like you just kind of fall into it, because it's so easy, so natural, so good? And you wonder sometimes what your life was like before, like looking back at your past through this foggy window or something...and yeah, maybe you can use your sleeve or whatever to wipe a spot clear and you get that little glimpse of what things used to look like for you...which only makes you more grateful, more appreciative, of where you are now?

And you can't even really describe it or explain it, it's just this amazing thing, just this constant glow inside of you, in your heart, this bright, colorful patch surrounded by drab grays and muddy browns and while you still slog through all the other junk, you don't even really mind because with every dragging step, with each move you make, you're heading towards this...this light, this refreshing and wonderful bit of perfection....and you know when you get there, when you get to it, all of the colors, all of the shining light, will just surround you and will be yours to keep forever, and while maybe there will occasionally be more of the darkness ahead once in a while, or more bleak surroundings, a little more trudging through sometimes...

It doesn't matter because you know that the vivid colors will never fade. You know that you never have to turn around and go back to living in black and white. You know, in your heart, that this, this glittering jewel in your life, is for you, and you never have to let it go.

...does that sound as insane as I think it does?

Wow...ummm...I just wrote something and...I didn't realize it till I was typing the last words that I was,ummm...ok...*puts on manly voice* I guess kinda crying. Not like a sad sort of..but just..I was realizing this stuff I was writing about was like moving.
LOL I never write things that make me weepy...Am I crazy? Has anyone else ever done this? maybe it was like all therapeutic & junk. Yep...maybe I just need to see a shrink or something.LOL yeah..ok...not sure why I felt the need to share this with the interwebs...so I am like waiting for Praus or someone to make a meme to mock me or something. *braces self* lol
I've done that a few times before, while writing...I get kinda lost in expressing whatever it is, and before I know it I'm in tears because the emotion is just that strong.

Nothing wrong with it. Nothing "un-manly" about it.

Happens to me a lot. I'm a very quiet person. I would rather put my thoughts in writing than speak them. There's a lot of healing in that for me. Sure has been in this forum. I hope the same for y'all. :)

@ MissCris...yer' gonna have to give me some writing lessons..or start like a website tutorial thingy. That was pretty amzingly beautiful what you described. I love when people can just write how they feel or think & even without trying to it almost sounds poetic. I've noticed here in CC we have some amazing writers like that. I think someone srsly needs to write a book & get published...like SOON!

and thanks Julz for also not thinking I'm a complete nutjob. lol
(and just for the record,so that I make sure to clarify just how manly I am..I wasn't like weeping when I wrote what I did...lol it was more like watery eyes & junk..yeah...that's the ticket) lolz

I'm glad Jullianna quoted your original post because I hadn't seen it. Streams goes too fast sometimes! But yeah, that happens to me sometimes too. "Emotion" just kind of leaks out of my eyes when I'm writing something beautiful or sad or touching. I'm pro-feels. Feels are good! :)

YES! Yes, thank you MissCris, you have helped nail down a concept that doesn't quite gel in my head, as unthinkable as that might sound to you. Anyway, I was watching this documentary on TLC........ok it was the Beverly Hillbillies......and anyway Granny told that banker lady who had a bad cold at the time that she could cure her cold. The banker lady was all amazed and said "You have a cure for the common cold? This is a major scientific find!". Granny says "I've had it for years - you just put this special poultice on your chest and within about 5 days, the cold is gone!" You might ask how what you said ties together with all this and it's really quite elementary....it doesn't. But it shares a common thread. The miracle this "charismatic" Persnickity knows is waiting for a supernatural miracle of a car and you are explaining how the miracle can happen but in a physically applicable way. Either way, God answers our prayer and a miracle is performed but what we perceive as natural event is really the miracle! It wasn't the poultice - it was the miracle of our bodies immune system healing the cold which we don't perceive as miraculous or supernatural but rather a natural event - which to the banker lady was a disappointment! She was thinking that the poultice was some kind of super new cure all and completely overlooks the miracle of our body's immunity - which has been with her all along! This - this is the vanity Ecclesiastes reminds me of. The miracles are happening all! So we don't praise our God when this fall turned to winter and then to spring because we know that the polar earth is tilted on it's axis in relation to the sun and the north hemisphere is tilted towards the sun in it's summer solstice and the south hemisphere is in it's winter and so we don't thank God for our season of growth and our season of fallow ONLY because we understand the way it works and thus, it becomes something less than a miracle? It's vanity! All of it is vanity!

Thanks for putting that together for me MissCris and Persnickity!
Okay...I read it. :D Sounds pretty good to me. :) I think instead of praying for a miracle, though, just pray that God provides you with what you need to do HIS will. :) That's at least how I'm praying.....praying my way right into college lol. It's taking some doing on my part. Scholarships don't just fall right into your lap and are handed on a silver platter. >.<

So...I've seen a lot of posts regarding hope recently and how vital it is to our lives, here's my question, what good is hope if there's nothing to fulfill it? I don't want the cheesy "Jesus died for you blah blah blah" christiany answer. If you're hoping for better, and God shows you where to go, and it's not delivered, what good has that hope done for you?

Maybe it's gotten you through to that and if you hope more it will get you through to the next thing in your life. I'm not sure zaoman32 and I probably shouldn't have answered. I've been disappointing myself lately and I don't know how to answer for that. So when you disappoint yourself and you can't seem to pull out of it? What do you do then?

Lately I've been in a strange...mood? perspective? I don't know the word for it.

I think the reason is because I'm letting God speak to me and I'm actually listening.

We are having a super glorious t-shirt wearing day here in Texas. I went on a walk, turned my face up to the wind and sun, and breathed deep. It felt great!

My landlord came over to measure for my new oven instead of guessing prior to ordering. My landlord is learning, apparently...

Yep. Didn't even need a jacket this morning when I headed out to work. I will probably drop the top on the Miata tomorrow.
