Every translation of the Word in part or whole has errors. As for the Hebrew/Aramaic texts, those who know far more than I do agree that there are many words in Hebrew that though translated are held as dubious as to what the meanings are.
I was raised with the KJV, but I read many versions of the Word, and I know that none are perfect. I could never be a KJV only person, but I do like that version along with just about any other version.
Again, it does not matter which version one reads because the final understanding is of the Holy Spirit. If it is Yahweh's will you could google the truth.

The reason it is called the King James version, it's because King James order it to be written so that he and the people can read it. Martin Luther was the first to translated from its ancient manuscript into German translation.

p_rehbein I totally agree with you. In fact there are 2 places in the bible where we are shown that God does provide his word to all people in all languages. People are very quick to judge, I am not KJV only, I just believe the KJV is the inerrant word of God in English. I don't know other languages so I can't vouch for any other translations.
From what I see, most people here believe that God's word is preserved through all the translation we see today and the Holy Spirit will guide each believer into the truth found in each of the translations.

The original translation of the KJV had this translated as horns also. Now this is not important really, but it shows there have been errors in the many translations of the Word until today.

JaumeJ you can't believe everything you read on the internet. There's like a massive army out there spreading lies about the KJV because they hate it. That in and of itself ought show people that the KJV is God's inerrant word. The devil is continually trying to destroy... sadly many christian have joined the devils fight. I also did a google translate on what you posted above, it say:

What you posted is not text from a Spanish bible, it is someone speaking in spanish saying "The text describes Moses descending from Mount Sinai, his face "emitting rays of light".
You are correct, as I posted it is "in" Spanish. What I looked up on the subject was in Spanish. I do have Spanish translations, but the post is not from one of them.
I've always wondered why (if we were to assume that God is the author of the bible, which I don't personally believe) the bible doesn't "speak in tongues". If it's possible for God to provide man with a book that is readable in any language, and (why not?) readable even to those who are illiterate, then why wouldn't he provide us with such a book? It's easily deduced through logic that if God wants us to know what the bible says and is capable of ensuring that we know what it says that we would know what the bible says. Language barriers shouldn't be a problem. Ambiguous language (especially language that you have to de-translate back to Hebrew and then back into English to make a point) shouldn't exist in such a book.
This is one of the many reasons that I'm an atheist -- the world doesn't look like it would if God existed. The bible looks exactly the way it would look if God didn't exist and as if it was written by fallible people, men who couldn't express themselves in a way that everyone would understand well.

When did I even allude to that? Sorry, you are misdirecting your question I believe. Also, I did look in a printed version of the first KJV, and it does NOT say horns, it simply says rays.. I am not on a vendetta against any version of the Word. I was just sharing about the statue made of Moses with horns due to mistranslations of the Word. Here is the quote from the KJV:
Exod 34:31
And Moses called vnto them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the Congregation returned vnto him, and Moses talked with them.

And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gaue them in commandement all that the Lord had spoken with him in mount Sinai.

I have read the correction did not appear until 1638, but now I am afraid I cannot locate it. The point is, there is no perfect translation of the Word. I would say even the Hebrew versions have been altered somewhat, sometimes due to not wanting to add or take away from the Word when there is a questionable understanding of script, and other times for other reasons.
The point I stress is simple, if our Father wants us to know the truth, He will give it to us by one means or another, but the Holy Spirit is the actual teacher leading us all to all we need know. I would never say any one version of the Word is perfect, only Yahweh, God, is perfect.
Careful, you will give the King James Only Cult a heart attack, its bad enough having the Perfect Bible in Gods prefered language of early 17th Century English corrupted by satan with words spelt Savior instead of Saviour, let alone having it another language.
