You, like many black Americans, live in a delusion that Trayvon is an innocent child hunted down for being black by a white Nazi.
Zimmerman is a non-racist American who is half Jewish and half Peruvian. BUT, in his role as neighborhood watch captain he DID suspect Trayvon who was legally visiting his father's girlfriend in the gated community Zimmerman was watch captain of that was struggling with numerous breakins and thefts at that time. The residents of the gated community were up in arms and wanted the crimes stopped.
You can find Sanford PD's police reports, arrests, etc... at their site and also third party site's interested in the case of criminals committing burglaries at the Colonial Village and neighborhood in the weeks and months leading up to the tragic event online. Here's an example:

Zimmerman was a man on a mission to end crime in his complex but that doesn't make him a racist hunting innocent black children to execute them which is nonsense you mistakenly believe and falsely assert.
And, though it's difficult to accept I know, Zimmerman had a legal right to follow Trayvon Martin and ask him questions. It's perfectly legal in Sanford Florida to follow someone to ask them some questions. And, that's what he did.
What happened next is what the trial was all about. Did Zimmerman kill Trayvon in self-defense or murder him on the night of February 26, 2012, in Sanford, Florida?
On April 11, 2012, Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder in Martin's death. The trial began on June 24, 2013, and was presented to the jury for deliberations on July 12. Note that while the prosecution only listed second degree murder in its charges, all lesser included offenses are assumed to be charged as well. Therefore, the jury could have found Zimmerman guilty of second degree murder or guilty of related lesser included offenses.
It is actually quite common for a prosecutor to go for the highest level charge they feel they can prove, with the understanding that if they cannot prove the greatest charge, a lower charge might stick with the jury in states, like Florida, that allow for the
automatic inclusion of lesser included offenses.
The defendant was found not guilty the following day and after looking at the evidence, Eric Holder and the justice department refused to try Zimmerman on violating Trayvon's civil rights which the ACLU concurred.
NONE of this, of course, makes George Zimmerman a good, moral, or responsible person. I would argue that he's not a good person and that he showed a lack of maturity and acted irresponsibly by following Trayvon to question him about what he was doing in the gated community George was neighborhood watch captain over.
It appears; however, that Trayvon was not a good person either. Instead of using his cell phone to call the police and report being followed (it's not a crime to follow someone to question them in Sanford Florida but police intervention would have prevented what happened), going into his apartment and closing the door and ignoring George, or explaining to George he was legitimately visiting his father's girlfriend at the complex and used good social skills: chose instead to lie in wait in the bushes and jump out when George approached and say "What the f..k is your problem, homie?" and when George said "I don't have a problem" tell him "No, now you have a problem" and then violently assault George Zimmerman punching him in the nose, mounting him and smashing his head against the concrete, telling him he was going to kill him as he reached for George's gun putting George in fear for his life.
That's the REAL reason Trayvon is dead.
