Well, today's the day I'll be gone for the weekend. :) Ironic how I'm leaving and Catlynn just came back. :p Oh well. I'll miss y'all. But this will be good for me. :) A time to get closer to friends and to Jesus!! Away from all the insanity of life and just have fun and also sit back and just chill for a while.
 
It's funny how my thoughts at night are less realistic and more day dreaming than during the day. It's almost like 'drunk texting'. I shouldn't be allowed to be on my phone late at night.

Some days, all the mad skillz in the world can't compensate for a lack of sleep. Tired of dropping things and tripping over my own feet, but strangely not tired enough to actually go sleep.

Should probably not compound the problem by consuming too much sugar.

Should probably feel worse than I do.

Should purchase a live giraffe to keep in my yard.

Also, that Cheetos chopstick idea was BRILLIANT!! Now I have an actual use for those chopsticks that have been sitting in my drawer forever.
 
I'm trying not to read too much into it... ^_~ I think she was complimenting you, in a playfully insulting way?? Women are complicated, bro. lol

My family on the island of Cebu let me know that their area took a LOT of damage, but they made it through safely. My dad is on the island of Leyte, and despite not having internet or electricity, he somehow had cellular service, so he texted me saying that out of the dozens of tornados and hurricanes he's lived through, this is the very worst of all. He said many of his neighbor's homes were wiped out, so he opened up his rental home and now it's packed with families taking refuge. This information was from nearly 20 hours ago, though, so now I'm just praying and waiting.

Thank you again for your concern and prayers!
 
Oh, and about the cheetos and chopsticks idea.. my boyfriend introduced me to that last year xD He's chinese and uses chopsticks for everything though.. but still.. I thought it was brilliant!
 
I am sitting in a park while threr dudes are hitting/catching a baseball. I'm not a sports guy, and I have no real life experiences to explain this, but the cracking sound of a bat hitting a ball is a very happy sound to me.

wondering why that is...

Some friends of mine are having an "Over the Hill Party" as both halves of the couple now qualify for all those senior discounts. I am supposed to take something over there, so I said I would make an appetizer/snack with prunes to fit the occasion.

Gotta pick up kids first....then figure out what I'm to do.....think of pureeing the prunes and using them to substitute for the dates in a date nut bar recipe - and probably add a little bit of brandy. Instead of brownies, I'll call them "prunies."

I think I watch too much cooking channel....
