And I know for me at least "I" am not perfect, and therefore do not have any right to punish, anyone else for theirs.

If God does not accept a person that is gay, then God accepts no one, for all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory.
Now only God himself can change that in any person, not of man. Man can only plant and or water, for it is God that gives the increase to the truth, that does the teaching to each of us, to either agree with God or not.
I agree with God and am a work in progress that started at believing God. That God carries on in each of us that do believe God is real. Christ was and is the best one that has ever revealed God and God's Mercy to us all through Him.
Thanks, for God does just love us all. Maybe it is time to respond to God rather that try to create a righteousness the flesh can never do.
But look whats being stated, "Gay Christian." Do you hear people saying murdering Christian or fornicating Christian? Yes, sin is sin. But should i label myself as a "Drug Addict Christian" after the Lord has saved me from that lifestyle? I don't believe anyone would or should be saying God would not except any of these people. Gay Christian, Murdering Christian, Fornicating Christian or what ever sin we could label our self as. I'm a "Saved Christian." I hope to not be identified by my sinful nature.

Many Addicts do admit that it is now part of them, a thorn that will never disappear by their own power. When we say that we are a "Gay Christian" what we are saying is, "This is a warning. This is the hell I live with, the temptations that I bear, the fear that dogs my steps. And I trust in the Lord to protect me." It is an admittance of a problem. At least we admit there is a problem.

When god created us it wasn't adam and steve-it was adam and eve!! also note that most gay people are also Catholic=think about this when the catholic priests are caught MOLESTING YOUNG BOYS! Does the whole town really have to be together to stone my farmer uncle, for planting different crops side by side? Can I burn my mother in a small family gathering for wearing garments made from two different threads?

My point is it is ridiculous to take a literal interoperation on these things. It important to live a good life, being gay doesn't hurt anyone so in my mind, in my life, with my boyfriend with my God it is okay.

There is no such thing as a sodomite who is a Christian.

And you need to take the Bible literally. The Bible as a whole is to be read literally. Another thing, Christians are to study the Bible dispensationally also by rightly dividing it (2 Timothy 2:15). The Levitical Law has been done away with (Colossians 2:14). Therefore today, we are not under the Mosaic and Levitical Law.

Today, every creature of God is good and is to be received with thanksgiving and prayer:

1 Timothy 4:3-5 KJV
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. [4] For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: [5] For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Furthermore, the Sabbath was a part of the Mosaic Law and Covenant and it was given as a Sign for Israel (Ezekiel 20:19-20). Christians, therefore, are not required to keep the Sabbath. Because again, the Sabbath is a sign to Israel.

One can be a practicing homosexual (gay) Christian but one cannot be a practicing homosexual and be born of God. “Christian” is merely a label invented by men that anyone can wear. Being born of God is within the inner person who is not known by labels but by their fruit and homosexuality is not one of those fruits.

what a profoundly stupid question. There is just as much lust in the homosexual community as there is in the hetersexual community. I disagree whole heartedly with you all.

I am a practicing Christian, and I am a practicing gay. That is it. God loves me and does't think i'm a sinner. He spoke to me in a dream. He said that his word has been misinterpreted.

I would like to write a list of my sins just for today. maybe not enough room if I really detail from the time I opened my eyes to now.I have committed them before asked forgiveness. then catch myself doing it again. jumping to conclusions is one. thinking I know the right answer, sometimes my temper flares I know that is equal to murder, sadly I still do it. Jesus died for me he knows I will never get it all right all the time. 1 sin makes you a sinner even if you manage to be without in other areas. I can't seem to do it.

At what point did I celebrate things that god hates. I'm saying that we should focus on our own challenges. God did not place the burden of being gay on me but I have sinned extensively because of my weakness. I live in an absolute mountain of sin And prefer to spend my effort in fixing that. I and don't celebrate that- I pray for forgiveness

Why comment on someone else's burdens - to isolate, ostracize and torment with your words. I specifically used the word inflict as that's what we do when we pursue commenting on gay rights when we don't believe their community should exists

But I'm here to learn as well so here's the question. I don't know much about scripture at all. I know more about the historic development of the bible from a secular level and bible studies in my early years and have only just recently started to turn to God again

So quoting scripture explain to me how I should treat gay people
1) in general
2) when they ask for help
3) when they talk about thier rights as gay people

I don't find being gay a burden. I celebrate it and celebrate God by celebrating. Irrespective of what some of the many contradictory quotes in the 'all knowing' bible may say...

You can't be a practicing homosexual and a practicing Christian at the same time. Homosexuality is a sin against God so the dream you received isn't from Him. An entire nation was destroyed because of this wickedness.
