So I have often wondered if I actually am able to go home in the rapture will I be able to take my cats? I don't want them to go through the tribulation and I love them so much. I don't think the bible says anything about this though does it? I know people say if it is not in the bible it isn't true, but I like to be optimistic. What does everyone else think?

What makes you think they want to go with you? You can only speculate as to whether you will see them again even if you merely die and go into the presence of Christ.
The rapture of the church is no joke. God is not to be mocked. If you are a Christian and the Lord comes for His church you will be gone. Your pets if they are locked in your house will likely starve unless you have unsaved friends that come to check on you and break into your house.

I know the Rapture is no Joke and I am not mocking God. But yes they will want to be with me because we love each other so much. I think that Jesus may let me have them even if they are taken with me at first. Jesus Gave me my Kitties for a reason. But if they are to go through the tribulation At least I will still have them when they die
I would love it if my pets would go with me in the Rapture...but I don't think they do. 
I do believe, however, that God will see to their care. It matters to me a great deal now. After the Rapture, however, the world will officially begin to experience the wrath of God...I don't know if my animals really rank highly on the level of concern at that point.

I don't know if you'll consider what I post here; and open up the Bible to read these notes, but I'll try anyway.
In the natural order of Christ return at the seventh ( Last ) trump recorded in ( Rev. 11: 15 ) All people on earth are changed into spiritual bodies ( 1 Cor 15: 51-52 ; Greek - I Thess 4: 16-17 ). Isaiah describes how safe it will be there with some sayings, and details that show, that even the animals are even changed out of flesh bodies ( Isaiah 11:6-9 ).
You have to notice , that Christ returns at the Last Trump ( Seventh ). Satan arrives at the Sixth trump .And the other trumps teaching it about it , leading up to the sixth ( II Thess 2 ). Satan brings peace on earth ( Rev 13: 4 ; Daniel 11:21 etc ) . It is a very common unfortunately that people teach Antichrist is bring death physically. The truth of these scriptures show the death that he brings is a spiritual one.
The church is still there during all the trumps . You can read the sealing taking place in ( Revelation 7.) Also the trail those who know better face ( in Revelation 2:; 3: ) And Christ gave details else where in ( Mark 13, Luke 21, Matthew 24 ).

Christ's return for His church in the clouds is not to be confused with His return to earth at the end of the tribulation. The church is not appointed to wrath and will not go through the seven year great tribulation. The seven year tribulation is directed at apostate Israel not the church. Christ comes to rescue Israel not the church. Sorry to disappoint.

You mentioned I Thessalonians 4: 16-17 : Paul mentions there that Christ returns during the Trump of God the archangel sounds ; there is only one trump that Christ recorded that Christ returns at, in all the Bible, its called the seventh trump ( Revelation 11:15 ). Paul also teaches this is the Last trump in ( I Cor 15: 51-52 ). There are only Seven. Christ is only recorded returning in the Last of those seven. If your familiar with Revelation, all the trumps before the sevens, have Satan's arrival recorded. Six comes before Seven.
If you continue reading into the second letter to the Thessalonians ,you read in Chapter 2, Paul teaches the gathering with Christ mentioned in I Thess 4:17, until after, Satan stands in in Jerusalem caliming to be God ( II Thess 2:3-6 ).
Its stated clearly in verse II Thess 2: 8-9 That Christ returns after Satan. The other scriptures I posted in my first post document father.
