My husband has dementia and has been in a nursing home now for 3 years.
He cannot communicate now altho he does understand what is said to him.
I am just sharing why I think it would be good to have a room for seniors
since I know many are in similar situations.
Ultimately the Lord Jesus is our closest friend and on Him we can always rely

I've seen this posted many times. I'm not positive, but i think with the Chats they try to avoid most age and gender separations. (other than the teens room) I could be wrong, but that seems to be the way it looks.

Yes and give us larger font size! ;) Actually I was going to suggest a 'not-so-young' adult forum when I saw the 'young adult forum' and I felt left out. I don't see that section anymore now though. Is it gone?

Bless you, Charlotte,
My father had Alzheimer's and died 15yrs ago. He was in an Alzheimer's facility over 5 yrs. I bless you for loving and continuing your faithfulness to your husband. I know it's hard; very hard. But in my case, despite the hard stuff, I remember laughing a lot. My dad had a sense of humor, and during some of his more lucid moments he could hang me out to dry with his humor. Unlike some, he passed before he totally forgot my family. Yes, there was confusion, but for the most part he at least knew we were people who loved him even if he could remember names.
Jesus will bless you as you continue to honor the covenant you made with your husband to love and honor him. I bless you for your devotion. Your rewards will be many.

Personally I'm all for it, they have a young adults room and teenage room so why not seniors? somewhere where they can talk about how in the old days this and that happened and how those darn teenagers and their cell phones and loud music. grumble grumble grumble...

But wait what about the old in heart? Like if we have a 27 year old who is old in heart? is he allowed in there? Also I think 40 and up should be going there since everyone freaks out and calles themselves old as soon as forty hits. seen it many times

I know. This is an old thread. But I'm on a mission. :)

•I am no longer a teenager. The teen forum seems no place for this old lady!
•I am no longer raising my children. They are grown with families of their own. The Young Adults and Family forums are nice to visit, but they aren't in the same place as I am.
•I am no longer contending with others in the workplace. I am retired.

Although we can certainly join in all over the site, it would be so lovely to have a Forum for us old fogies.

The oldie forum.
I think its a good idea
Because even in scripture, elders had special considerations.

And also they supposed to teach us youngers a thing or two!
