Coolies. I've read some Clive Barker (admittedly only his Abarat books) and I've tried Anne Rice. I really should get into Stephen King's The Dark Tower but my To Read pile is massive!

I agree,I don't like all of King's stuff...but he does have some awesome reads. I love Clive Barker..Anne Rice,Poppy Z Brite...Chelsea Cain...ohh I could go on.LOL

Nope, right now they're bare while I admire my handiwork on them (unintended pun!), but I think tomorrow I will paint them a pretty pink color that a friend got me for my birthday. :)
Happy belated birthday, Rachel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

what a coincidence....I'm holding out for a woman that will pick me over food. Then we can dine Together even if I'm running late:)
or something like that. :p

Sooooo.... I'm sure you've read Itores post about how he chose to hang up on me after I was at work all day, just so he could eat his food which I might point out he didn't offer to share. That's all I have to say. How a person would want food over time with me is beyond me.lol

Yes, it was an Israeli guy! He actually got a little too close for my comfort: standing close, picking up my necklace to admire it (I think he was just buttering me up). I mean, he was nice and he wasn't trying to make me uncomfortable, he just went past my personal space bubble and didn't know it.

I just did the whole kit on my nails just now, and I do feel like it worked. Made my hands look pwetty. :)
gonna post us a pic?

I'd offer to show you mine, but the last time I did anything with them I used a rasp from the tool cupbord at work to round off one that had torn... nothin worth taking a picture over.

I do paint about one nail every 18 months. Always a dark color, and usually with something like a framing hammer. So far, God's been kind enough to me that they've all grown back.

For someone with a masters degree, I sure like working with my hands.

You can still paint them though, can't you, Duchess? And hmmm... to your second point.

No, I can't paint them. I signed a contract saying I wouldn't. Paint chips and holds bacteria and most doctors offices don't like bacteria. :)

I am such a mutt. I am actually a large percent Norwegian my Grandma on my dads side who I never met was full blooded. She was born there and my grandpa who I never met was like half and also german. Then my moms side is Irish, Scottish and Welsch with some black foot indian.
My Mom's people are mostly Scottish (Blair clan) & a little Irish + what ever. My dad's people are mostly Irish with a little Scottish. There was one grand father of a forgotten number of greats who married a woman from Oklahoma. Some say she was Cherokee other say Comanche. All I know is in the one photo of her that exists she is very striking and beautiful, but also very muscular. She had forearms like Hormel Hams. Looked like she didn't need an Ox to plow a field, she'd just stand behind the plow and push!

There have been many preachers in my denomination who share my last name. (no, not Belt) Word is that I am related to all of them... The white ones and the black ones. :) Nice to be in good company.

Your Oven? you're right that is nutsy... it should be able to get up to at least 500 degrees in there.

Today the high was 83.
