I am doing for you as an ambassador for Christ, out of love for you seeking to open your eyes that you might have life.
Do you think that Christ does not equip his ambassadors by spirit to know them to whom they speak? I know you much better than your pride desires me to know you.

Are you now telling me that you do not believe that speaking in tongues is as those who speak in private languages unknown to themselves or to any language group of mankind?

I am saying that to speak in tongues, the miracle is for the unbeliever.

Neither ought it to be based upon knowing any man in their flesh or their claimed "holy inspired" knowledge, but of the new man in the spirit.
For in such a spiritual man and the life-giving word which flows from his belly per John 7:38, together with our own inspection of the Bible, we can see Christ so that , 2 Corinthians 3:18 "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."
And, Romans 1:17 "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith."

What does that reveal about the spirit in you. Please do not be that way. I stated very clearly the answer to that question.
You are not used to dealing with a true spirit lead ambassador for Christ so you toy with me as if to seek to find fault or perhaps to get me to show anger or any little flaw that you can then pounce on to artificially elevate yourself in your own eyes. And the sad part is that you may not even consciously see that you are doing it.
Well, that is what I mean when I tell you to be done with it, for it is impossible for you to offend me or anger me by such things.
Now, that ought to be something that by now you are able to begin to see about me, so consider it together with the post you made your comment here concerning.

You know, SarahM777, I don't doubt you a bit. I've heard many such stories, myself. I've seen it myself. But you must remember, the church at Corinth had false prophets & teachers in their midst as well, Paul told them they did. That didn't make them any less God's church, otherwise the Lord wouldn't have sent Paul in the first place. Paul wrote 3 letters to the church, the last 2 with warnings about repenting over the abuse of the gifts, as well as ridding themselves of their false preachers/teachers/prophets. If there was hope for them, there is certainly hope for us in the modern day church.

And as far as dealing with a true ambassador of Christ...go to the Bible Study room with that attitude and see where it leads you.

There is an ironic twist to this story. Why was it that not one of those claiming to be Charismatic (they were suppose to be spirit filled believers who spoke in tongues etc) caught her,who had spent quite a bit of time with her,including the pastor that she worked for,BUT YET a non charismatic LUTHERAN caught onto to her fairly quickly? That is the irony that I don't get.
It doesn't change the way the Corinthian church was. They were spiritually blind and oblivious to their situation, not knowing that there was a problem until the apostle Paul revealed it to them. The false teachers and false prophets were all led of the devil and nobody in the church knew it.
UMM Shouldn't these type of things be telling us something? If some of the modern church is just as BLIND to what is happening as the Corinthian church was,doesn't that tell us there is a problem?
