At this point in the day...
A cup of cocoa made with coffee sounds good...kinda cold outside.

I made steak and tater stew for dinner last night to go with the bread I made that I talked about before. (Recipe in recipe forum)

I bought my daughter a tin of cocoa with mini marshmallows for hot chocolate as a Christmas gift :)

She has not tried it yet, that I know of :unsure:

I thought it would be a nice little treat for her, as she likes stuff like that :)

if some of us put even half as much thought & effort into the scripture as we put into hating some nebulous group of 'others' who we imagine are the source of everything wrong with the world..

Tourist and our daughter, Melisa are not as fond of the small town as I am. I tried on several other homes in Tennessee and they kept getting taken away from us. But this one in Jamestown stuck and the church I am affiliated with is planning on building a new church in this town in May so maybe God wanted us here for that or to help build it with people.

I may not be as fond as this small town as you are but I am determined to make the very best of it. Not only will I survive but I intend, with the grace of God, to thrive. No weapon formed against us will prosper.

I have a small Town just South of me. About 8,000 people. They have pretty much anything a person could want though...... And a really small Town just North of me. About 200 people on Saturdays (shopping days). They have a few Stores, 2 gas stations and 2 restaurants that are open from time to time. :)

In between are miles of WOODS! Works for me. You know; when I moved here it was because I needed a place real quick, and I wasn't sure I wanted to move here. But, I felt God had opened the door to get this place, and it has only been since this Covid 19 thing has gone wild that I came to understand that God had a plan! My isolation in the country has put a shield of protection (His woodlands) all around me, and kept me away from all who have contracted the virus. Even when I do go to one of the Towns or the other to shop, I go at times I know are the slowest for them with Customers, and I ALWAYS wear my mask.

Funny how I know understand that GOD KNEW well before man did that this Covid thing was coming, and He had a plan to protect me. Why? Well, because of my aural aneurism IF I were to contract Covid, my VA Dr. said it would be a death sentence for me............

I love seeing the looks on the judges faces, and some of the onlookers too :giggle:

squirrels & birds & coons are often better neighbors than humans :)
they all know who the Creator is, and hope in Him

i live out in the county - tho i commute a long way to a pretty big city to work - i'm sure i wouldn't trade it to dwell there.

A cyclone hit Mozambique on Saturday and we are now receiving some bad weather (rain and wind). Please pray for the East coast of Africa. They need the Lord's protection from the floods.
